I think it’s likely that one or more of those pols has/have a financial interest in the security firm being used.
All on the taxpayers’ dime.
Folks, this is nothing but. The Hunger Games and Divergent being played out in real life. Yes, the Liberal-Dem cities are seeing the most violence, but only in certain areas. The chaos isn’t in the affluent, white, liberal neighborhoods within those cities.
The ones where the doctors, lawyers, tech folks, salespeople live. They all live in their lily-white, chic, hipster neighborhoods where they call the cops when they see anyone not like them walking down their block. Curiously, that person is ALWAYS looking in cars, pulling on door handles or looking in the windows to the houses.
In Atlanta, they off-duty cops in their enclaves that they call on cellphones so there’s no record in the 911 system. Every city has at least one like it. When the crime and taxes start creeping to those places, the migration begins to ruin the next place.
Some pigs are more equal than others.
I suppose that no coach in Minnesota will now allow a policeman of any kind escort them and protect them from their frothing at the mouth fans.
Nevermind that private security details also do not enjoy the protections that commissioned police do, nor the legal authority that police do.
You belt private security in the mouth, and that is NOT assaulting an officer and does NOT carry the same hefty penalties.
They do not have legal-protections if they shoot an unarmed assailant that law enforcement officers enjoy.
This makes private security LESS effective and these elected fools easier targets.
Bad move on the council member’s part.
