Several Minneapolis City Council members who have received death threats following their calls to defund the police after the death of George Floyd have been assigned private security details — reportedly costing the city $4,500 a day in taxpayer dollars.

According to information obtained by Fox News, the city has spent $63,000 on private security over the last three weeks.

“The names of the people getting security details are not public,” a city spokesperson told Fox News Saturday.

The names of three council members who are receiving private security detail have already been made public, two of whom interviewed with local affiliate Fox 9 on Friday. The spokesperson did not respond to Fox News’ questions about whether or not there were additional council members receiving security detail.

The threats reportedly came after the council members were vocal in their calls to defund the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD). …

Thank God most God-fearing Americans are ARMED.

Now, if the threats are real, let’s play with it a little. If the “threats” do take out these three Marxists/fools, then the city wouldn’t have to spend $4,000+ a day to protect them.

Funerals run around $12,000 (corrupt politicians get a discount) but their insurance might cover it. The police wouldn’t spend too much money trying to find and capture the “threats” since secretly they probably have a “deadpool” going on deep in their precincts.

Now this is all speculation but in Minneapolis, after the last month of rioting and killings, it seems that nothing is “Normal” there anymore, if it ever was.

Not to defend these cowards but using private security is probably much cheaper than putting police on OT to protect their worthless lives.

Suppose I were a cop in this city and I took some OT to protect one of these cop hating city council members. So, I am standing next to this city council member attending a Justice for George Floyd rally. Up comes a bunch of hooligans looking to beat on my charge.

Me: Oh, look over there a flower. Excuse me councilman while I go admire that flower.

Probably sent in by their own for he xcuse of getting private security.

People in Minneapolis should start demanding the city hire private security at public expense for themselves as well, just to highlight the irony and hypocrisy when they are laughed at by the city council that is providing it for themselves.

Our private gun security is public but theirs is private

This is proof that the 2A is a privacy right that is much abused

None of their business what weapon a citizen has

“ Morons are electing morons.”
______

Yes, anti-American Marxists are morons, that’s true.

We’ve been indoctrinating generations of Americans to wannabe Marxism and importing millions upon millions of America hating Marxists.

That’s pretty moronic indeed,
