The headline is literally correct, but meant to mislead. The flag wasn’t “flying” above the speedway, it was being pulled by a plane that was flying over the speedway.

I hope all these professional woke sports leagues die. Anti American, then let em die. My Dad never watched sports. Waste of time. He was too busy being constructive, fixing things, in the garage, productive, reading his Bible, ......I couldn’t understand it back then. Now I do. I’m beginning to detest professional woke anti American Athletes. The whole bunch of em. I play tennis every day. But I hope the leagues die and the spoiled athletes are out of jobs and out of money. Serves em right.
For 20 years i went to 5 races a year, haven’t been to a race in 5 years, haven’t watched one in the last 3 years.
My whole family are fans. We went to 4-5 a year but I stopped around 2010. NASCAR has zero in common with its roots these days. It’s just a gimmick-filled over-hyped, over-produced waste of a Sunday afternoon. Occasionally I will still watch a Bristol night or Dega race, but my days of spending money on it are long gone. IMO NASCAR was in serious trouble before these most recent moves, I can’t see how those moves could possibly do anything but hurt its position.

I am frequently in the counties of central PA and I can confirm that it’s commonplace to see the rebel flag proudly flying. I presume it’s flying to express strong support for our 1st Amendment rights, and that’s why it pleases me to see it.
And when any of them riot or loot shoot the rioters and looters.
