She was wrong. The bird watcher was wrong. Her former employer was wrong and likely will be sued. A pox on all three. Case closed.
I also heard a rumor that her former roommate was liberal. Not confirmed but suspected. :-)

There are literally over a hundred Amy Coopers in New York state, so without more info, it’s hard to pinpoint her as the Amy Cooper of the FEC records. As someone involved in fund management, it’s doubtful her social media pages would have leaned one way or another, because clients aren’t thrilled at that kind of thing.

I’ve just found what I believe to be her current address, zip code 10069, which is different from the 10022 listed in the Open Secrets search result. Note that this address page lists as a past address, the city of Chicago, which squares with the fact that she got her MBA from the University of Chicago:

I think the real bottom line is that so-called fact checkers may not have the mental horsepower, attention to detail or diligence to conduct a complete and accurate fact check. That’s not where the talent goes. Given that media people tend not to be the cream of the crop, and fact checkers are the dregs of media people ...
Their goal is the extermination of the opposition. The white thing always puzzles me since lots of whites vote dem. But they get away with it. Republicans, you bet, regardless of race. Thus comments like Joe’s, that Republican blacks aren’t aren’t black. From a pretty pale white. If 70% of whites backed dems and 85% of blacks backed Republicans, it would be quite different. Politically. Many of their activists are racists, and target whites along with right wingers for a multitude of reasons. Dems just look the other way, they vote the right way. Look at the #metoo movement, Bill and Joe can do what they want to women with no consequences. Or the women’s march, a political movement, which largely targeted Jews. A majority of whom vote for dems, and rebelled. Dems could do the same thing to their other component groups, but haven’t yet.
