The marriage rate in the United States has dropped to its lowest point since someone began keeping records, and anyone who is not a man-hating feminist knows that is a bad sign for the future.
A new report from the National Center for Health Statistics shows marriages fell 6 percent from 2018 to reflect an average 6.5 unions per 1,000 people, the lowest number since the federal government began keeping records in 1867.

The left understands how to change incentives in order to change society.
Conservatives are often left defending something when the battle has moved on.
If you want something less of something than tax it is an example of an incentive changing behavior.
With marriage the incentives have change so that it is a bad deal for many men. Thus they don’t want to get married.
Change the incentives and you will change the outcome.
No fault divorce makes it too easy for people to split up.
First marriages, half divorce. Second marriages 66% fail, and third marriages, about 75% fail.
Divorce stats for gays are as bad or worse, the lifestyle is inherently based on sex whenever, with whoever, wherever.
And women initiate at least 80% of the divorces and do so because they generally benefit far more from divorce than the man, who they can quickly replace with another willing simp.
Too many folks are used to disposable goods and people. Some folks get married deliberately knowing they will file for divorce and reap a big court ordered reward, almost exclusively female. they get married for the other tovpay off their debts, pay off schooling bills, improve their standard of living, and then divorce and the court then demands they be paid to that higher standard of living.
I honestly do not know why any man gets enslaved into such a deal. if it was a business contract they wou’d never sign such a document. yet they p1ss away their personal life on a one-sided contract only enforced on them.
No-fault divorce must be eliminated. Fault divorce needs to be brought back, and must have a high level of proof. If its truly fault divorce it will be easy to confirm. Abandonment, physical, emotional, sexual. Violence, easy to prove with recording, also taking into account who the instigator of the violence is. Habitual Emotional/psychological abuse. Criminal behavior. Reckless financial behavior that one person will not stop doing. Mental illnesses, especially if they will not get help. Drug/substance abuse. Adultery. Getting married under deceptive reasons/lies/fraudulent reasons. If the person is already married and hides this.
Plenty of reasons for fault divorces, and for that to factor into the subsequent division of assets.
Prenups need to be able to be enforced and not tossed out. Right now prenups are virtually worthless and can be tossed out by a judge for any reason the judge can come up with.
People need to have proper counseling about marriage. They do not get proper counseling before going into marriage, not when more than 50% fail.
Great. So much easier than 50% divorce rate and someone who hates your guts.

Truth to tell, I never even had one solid prospect.
Back when I was in my 30s/40s, I used to joke that the only females I could get along with were young enough to be my daughter, old enough to be my mother, or already happily married. Today, at 62, you’d have to adjust the ages a bit, but the same principle applies.
And it’s not like I’m deformed, destitute, or deranged. I can’t begin to explain a lifetime of utter failure with women — only that it turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
It’s hard not to notice that women talk out of both sides of their mouths about what they want in a man. So many of them say they want a man who treats them right — but they’re only too happy to give themselves to brutes.
I’m very much a gentleman of the old school and rather reserved and scholarly in person. So, when you combine these factors with my modest income, I suppose I never had much of a chance.

On the plus side, I’ve certainly known a few married couples who seemed properly devoted to each other. All happiness to them, they deserve it.

I am embarrassed to say in my youth until about 30 I treated women awful. Not hitting them. Just ignoring and cheating etc.
It never made one leave, doing stuff like that.
I got nicer, it got harder.
You said it better than I could have. 50 and single and everyone seems surprised by this.
So saddened by the fact that the nation's fertility rate has never been lower and the amount of kids born into a single parent household has never been higher. I hope we soon realize that Dan Quayle was right.

Being single is hardly being alone. They try to hang that one on guys and its just not true. They let single women make that choice and dont try to guilt shame them
I still remember a quote from Robin Williams. Paraphrasing, he remarked its not the worst thing in the world to be alone. The worst thing in the world is actually being around people that make you wish you were alone.

There is a lot of stuff put into vaccines that lower fertility. and do not think the vaccine makers are not aware of this.

I’m a female Gen Xer—very sad to read these; I have 3 brothers and 3 sons. I hope things improve for men, and soon. The main thing: men need to start voting their own interests. If men are 50% of the US, they should be voting accordingly. Family court would not be so stacked against men if they would vote their own interests. As a female, for the life of me I can’t imagine why any male would vote Democrat. . .
It does seem like more traditional cultures have longer and happier marriages. American men, to put it charitably, seem very confused about what they want from a woman. They’ll say they want a traditional stay-at-home woman in one breath then complain about how women should pull their own weight financially in the next. They’ll condemn women who have premarital sex as sluts and women who won’t as prudes or closet lesbians. If my man’s not happy I’m not going to be happy either. So I married a Taiwanese man who didn’t play these games with me. No regrets. If you want marriage you need to look for someone from a culture that celebrates marriage, not a culture that lauds men as “assertive” for demanding sex by the 3rd date (but a woman who wants marriage is “pushy”).
My husband even lets me vote for Trump ;)
