New York health officials were warned in writing that a Brooklyn nursing home where 55 patients have died of coronavirus was overwhelmed — weeks before it began topping the state’s official list of resident COVID-19 deaths, damning emails show.
Cobble Hill Health Center CEO Donny Tuchman sent a desperate email to state Health Department officials on April 9, asking if there was “a way for us to send our suspected covid patients” to the hospital built inside the Javits Convention Center or the US Naval hospital ship Comfort — the under-utilized federal medical facilities on Manhattan’s West Side.
“We don’t have the ability to cohort right now based on staffing and we really want to protect our other patients,” Tuchman wrote in a chain of the emails reviewed by The Post.

At the time Tuchman sent his plea, only 134 of the 1,000 beds at the Javits Center were full and the Comfort — which had just been reconfigured to treat up to 500 COVID-19 patients — had a mere 62 on board.
Adding insult to injury, the Navy hospital ship wound up treating just 179 patients before Gov. Cuomo on Tuesday said it was no longer needed.

I used to love Drudge I went there all the time. After the election my husband was complaining about all the negative stories about President Trump and he quit going there.
I told him that Drudge was just showing what was on the other sites yada yada yada. At some I just couldnt’ go there anymore and I got what my husband had been saying. There was a definite change in Drudges site it is just like CNN and the rest of the left leaning sites.
You may be right. Something really changed about his site and I just can not go there anymore.

Thanks for the info. I wasn’t sure if they were being sent to the nursing homes, because they had been residents there prior to being sent to the hospital. You cleared that question up for me. I certainly hope that people who lost loved ones because of this bizarre policy Cuomo set in place, will file law suits against him.

Grenades would have been far messier to clean up.
Perhaps it would have prevented more nursing home residents from coming down with the virus, and dying.

People dying is a good thing for a Democrat as it creates a crisis which can be used politically to further the Democrat cause ‘du jour’. Democrats are natural death-mongers - they cause, create and use it.
