WASHINGTON - A chorus of governors from both parties pushed back hard after President Donald Trump accused Democrats of playing a very dangerous political game by insisting there is a shortage of tests for the coronavirus. The governors countered that the White House must do more to help states do the testing thats needed before they can ease up on stay-at-home orders.
Kansas Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly said the current federal effort really is not good enough if were going to be able to start to open our economy. We cannot do that safely without the tests in place.
Supply shortages have stymied U.S. testing for weeks. The needs range from basic supplies like swabs and protective gear to highly specialized laboratory chemicals needed to analyze patient results.
In Ohio, Republican Gov. Mike DeWine said his state is working with another federal agency, the Food and Drug Administration, to find a source of reagent, the chemical used to analyze test results. A lot of good things are going on, but were not there yet, DeWine said.
Democratic Montana Gov. Steve Bullock said his state received 5,000 nasal swabs Monday from FEMA - evidence the federal government is listening. But he added, It doesnt get us far enough.
In New York, Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo said the states should take the lead on testing but its up to the federal government to help sort out supply chain issues facing testing manufacturers.
Pennsylvania Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf said, We need the reagents, we need the test kits and I think thats the sort of general cry from other states.
Public health experts say the country needs to dramatically increase its testing infrastructure if it is going to safely roll back restrictions and reopen businesses without risking a major spike in infections.

like clockwork and as planned..
This testing crap is Fauci holding things up. Keep reading these testings are like....”so what”....there’s nothing to gage them against.
Makes me wonder if this isn’t one of the reasons why Congress is staying outta town.
So they can better cook deals under the radar.
No...They just want to keep their distance and take advantage of the situation. They’re working behind closed doors....but that’s ALWAYS how it is done....and then they step to the podium.
Why should states open if Congress is to scared to meet and do their job?
The democrat states have been like 10 year olds threatening to run away from home “I don’t need you! I don’t need ANYTHING! Where is my allowance and what is for dinner?”
Last thing I want..is to be tested.
And I will avoid it at all costs.
Tired of governors griping. Do your job.
The obvious question from the press, if they were not all DNC/CCP operatives, would be "Why? What will you do with test results positive or negative?"
It is war.
The democrat states must be forced to fail
The whole testing debacle is a Democrat gambit to destroy the President. They must be totally destroyed for their destructive purely political efforts.
Womp womp womp
They want the feds to come in and do everything
Yesterdays presser about what the fed task force has provided about testing was a real eye opener
Democratic Montana Gov. Steve Bullock said, "Trump is a racist.
In New York, Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo said, "Trump is a racist.
Pennsylvania Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf said, "Trump is a racist.
Public health experts said, "Trump is a racist.
“Blue States use flu fear mongering to demand that Red States bail out their failed and reckless liberal policies/spending.”
(fixed it)
BUMP!
This is like what happens with a lot of aid to chithole countries. Very little of it reaches the people it is intended to reach. Most of it ends up in the hands of black marketeers.
Only,in this instance, it is our own State officials that are the black marketeers.

at least I now know what will be amongst the headlines on the BBC (and other FakeNewsMSM) news bulletins today.
more garbage.
I’m sure the testing is clunky, awkward, late, and at times spotty in some places. But, the only thing people will remember come July or August will be did it get done right. It’s simply human nature. I can’t imagine any scenario where that won’t be the case.
For example: ventilators were the big topic 4-5 weeks ago. But, they are now satisfied they have enough.....so topic forgotten. Here’s a bigger scale: a lot of crap went bad during WWII, but the only thing we remember is that we won.
Role testing out to everyone’s general satisfaction bu late June or early July and this topic will be forgotten. Again....it’s human nature.
