Attorney General William Barr expressed concerns in an interview on Wednesday that draconian measures to slow the spread of the coronavirus will come at the cost of freedom for the American people.
Im very concerned about the slippery slope in terms of continuing encroachments on personal liberty, Barr said. I do think during the emergency, appropriate, reasonable steps are fine.
Barr said in the Fox interview that the Justice Department will continue to track any actions that restrict peoples liberty.
The restrictions have not only limited personal freedom, but have also devastated the American economy, with millions of jobs lost and small businesses across the country folding.

Fat friggin’ chance. Herding the sheep is important to the left, so the ACLU will leave this one alone.
Good!!!
This is the second article I have seen on FR where Barr is weighing in. I wonder if there is an internal movement to fight back against Zachary Smith and Maureen Robinson. I’d love to know where Stephen Miller is in all this.
Politicians know that if you scare the women you can get anything you want.
So do corrupt politicians.
This may be the first shot across the bow of any state governor who thinks hes going to maintain a police state after the national emergency is modified.
And it is past due.

So given the states unprecedented direct air access to China, and given its large expatriate and tourist Chinese communities, especially in its huge denser metropolitan corridors in Los Angeles and the Bay Area, it could be that what thousands of Californians experienced as an unusually early and bad flu season might have also reflected an early coronavirus epidemic, suggesting that many more Californians per capita than in other states may have acquired immunity to the virus...
Looks like we have done all this for no reason...
The CDC panicked...where were they before January..doing nothing it looks like
If he is a Democrat and a collaborator with China he is going to get a shot over his bow or possibly shot.
Perhaps if bagpipe Barr would’ve done his job of jailing the mutiny swamp creatures he would’ve had better leverage with his words! BARR=SESSIONS...BASTARDS!!
Part of the maternal instinct.
I swear I had it at the end of January, first time sick in over 20 years, got it from my daughter who works in a hospital, and some of her friends and coworkers that had it, had it real bad for a couple weeks
Why he still has a cheerleading squad here is beyond me. Some just like to hand out participation trophies, I guess.

The perfect perfect way to get out of the Fauci/Brix listen to the experts box.
Lawyers are already sending out mass mailings urging businesses to sign up with the law firm so the law firm can sue the businesses regarding their business interruption insurance. Texas is being papered with these mailers.
Then there are the coming lawsuits by various businesses against various government agencies and heads of the government agencies. For unconstitutional takings, for violation of due process, etc, etc.
One thing I have learned. If you want a steady job and little worry about your future get a government job and/or run for office. Please! Any of you run for office please. These morons, excepting a few like Trump, simply don’t understand or care about money. On one hand they are destroying their tax base but on the other they don’t have an inkling or thought about reducing the size of their government agency. They don’t seem to have the ability to understand that their “revenue” is getting squashed.
It could be argued that he’s never participated.
