Trump considering 'full pardon' for Michael Flynn after FBI 'lost' records
washington examiner ^ | 3/15/2020 | Zachary Halaschak & Jerry Dunleavy

President Trump said he is seriously considering a pardon for former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn.

“So now it is reported that, after destroying his life & the life of his wonderful family (and many others also), the FBI, working in conjunction with the Justice Department, has 'lost' the records of General Michael Flynn. How convenient. I am strongly considering a Full Pardon!” Trump tweeted on Sunday.

Flynn, 61, pleaded guilty in December 2017 for lying to investigators about his conversations with then-Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak, and faces possible prison time.

After swapping legal teams, Flynn changed his tune, telling the U.S. District Court in Washington in January, “I am innocent of this crime." He filed to withdraw his guilty plea after the Justice Department asked Judge Emmet Sullivan to sentence Flynn to up to six months in prison, though afterward, the department said it believed probation would also be appropriate. Flynn's team, led by Sidney Powell, a former federal prosecutor, is now pressing for the dismissal of his case, arguing that the client was unfairly treated by the FBI.

FBI ‘lost’ records>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

You mean J. Edgar Hoover is still there?

Not only should Flynn be pardoned. He should be reimbursed all legal expenses and costs, even if he has to sue for them.

“I’ve said many times if you just leave it alone and let the virus to its own devices, it'll go way up and come down naturally over a period of several weeks," Fauci said, later adding, “Our challenge right now is to do two things, is to prevent the new influx of cases, hence the travel restrictions, and for what we’re dealing with right now, is to know that we’re gonna get more infections but blunt it so that we don’t have that sharp peak, that we have more of a smaller hump.”

> “... but when does Trump fire the FBI director and his entire staff for such a criminal act??”

That’s really the crux if it, If no one is fired for incompetence or wrongdoing, this type of activity will contioue into the future.

Not only must there be firings, there must be criminal trials with a full airing of what went on for public viewing.

Good. Get on with it and then punish the real criminals in the FBI.

Depending on what the Judge in his case eventually does, Trump should see the end result is Flynn is not only a free man but is made whole as far as he being reimbursed for his out of pocket defense costs.

Watch this amazing speech by Sidney Powell, Gen Flynn’s attorney, from 3/11/20.

https://youtu.be/LTV1Y_QuZOM?t=3300…;;

At exactly 55:00 into the speech she talks about how to use videos & content on Anthony Weiner’s laptop to indict HRC.

One thing I wish Trump would do differently is to stop announcing that he is “considering” doing this or that. It just gives the leftist media more time to start propaganda and try to turn opinions. He just needs to make the decision and do it and THEN announce it. Leaving them with a bombshell and then just move on to something else. Give them no rest and as little time to dwell on it as possible.

This is why I don't believe in the QAnon nonsense. If it were true, we would see actual repercussions from this "lost his records" revelation. But we do not, and will not.

Instead of pardoning Flynn, Trump should make a list of all those who had even cursory responsibility for those records, hold a press conference in which he calls them out individually by name, and publicly fires them. "Johnny So-and-so, you're fired.".. and all the way down the list. No pensions, no nothing. Clean out your desk and go.

This is confusing, would not the information contained in said files be a part of the evidence to get Flynn to plead?. The Judge should throw the whole case out, or at a minimum pull the plea and move forward with trial. Obviously at that point the FBI then has no case.

Flynn was his own worst enemy. Filing a legal challenge with the claim “I am innocent of this crime” is ludicrous after making repeated sworn statements admitting guilt — even in person right to the face of the judge — in this same case.

“Better late than never, but it just seems too late.”

(nice to be posting on another subject)

Anyway, the timing is PERFECT. The FBI is flat-out LYING about losing the documents, due to what they contain. So, with the FBI on the back of their feet, it’s perfect to go in for blow. No political hit to Trump and a HUGE VICTORY to Flynn and his supporters.

As to being late...that’s is always a tough political all, when there would be political damage to Trump - he does have to weigh an early pardon against the charge of trying to buy-off his supporters (i.e., give pardons in exchange for staying loyal to Trump). But now that’s out of the way, thanks to Sidney!

Not all of the FBI is corrupt, just the management is corrupt. There are good agents in the FBI, I know of three personally.

Flynn’s whole legal defense has been ass-backwards. He’s fighting a case now — two and a half years after pleading guilty — that he should have been fighting IN A TRIAL.

I hope they are not trying to bait Trump into pardoning him just to use it Trump in this election year.

The agents responsible for losing the records need to be disciplined and summarily fired with prejudice, no future opportunity for either federal government work or for any federal contractor,

You spelled "extraordinary rendition" wrong, didn't you?

Gen Flynn’s defense team, led by powerhouse lawyer Sidney Powell, makes some very serious claims against government prosecutors.
<><> She charges them with withholding exculpatory evidence, and,
<><> with aiding and abetting the alteration of official government documents – called 302 forms.

Keep in mind...falsifying official documents is the preferred criminal method to cover-up larger crimes.

Passing copies of false documents as authentic can also involve forgery and other instances of serious criminality.

Falsifying documents is usually done in connection with broader criminal aims, such as:
<><> extortion,
<><> government fraud,
<><> tax evasion,
<><> money laundering,
<><> financing terrorism.

Falsifying documents is a very serious offense and is generally classified as a felony. This means that a person charged with falsifying documents may be subject to the following legal penalties:Having to pay a monetary fine and incarceration in a prison facility

Depending on the gravity of the offense, as well as individual state laws, falsifying documents can result in a prison sentence of 5-10 years.

Also, if government documents or govt authorities were involved, the legal penalties may be more severe. Legal penalties may increase with repeat offenses.

The penalty for falsifying government documents is outlined in the Crimes Act of 1958.
