A number of people in politics, the media and elsewhere are openly speculating that if Democrats wind up with a brokered convention, with no strong or viable nominee evident, Hillary Clinton might enter the arena as the savior who could unite the delegates and go on to defeat President Donald Trump.
Clinton herself seemed to throw shade at that theory during an interview with Variety at the Sundance Film Festival. When asked about the urge to beat Trump, the former Democratic nominee said: Yeah, I certainly feel the urge because I feel the 2016 election was a really odd time and an odd outcome. But Im going to support the people who are running now and do everything I can to help elect the Democratic nominee.
Several politically savvy Democrats have told me that everything may be a much more plausible and powerful scenario.
That is, Clinton and/or her team could be negotiating with former vice president Joe Biden, former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg or the last candidate standing to join the ticket as vice president. She would add the gravitas, delegates and, eventually, millions of votes needed to get them over the finish line on Nov. 5. I am assured that Clinton is on every short list for that position.
If I were in Trumps world, this scenario would send chills down my spine.
There is no doubt that the former first lady, New York senator and secretary of State once again is raising her profile and stepping back into the spotlight to re-engage in political discussions.

“”””””””’Shes lost the influence that filled her coffers. What else can she do?

When you have lost even those radicals it is a good sign you are hated by EVERYONE.
“With her on the ticket as VP, yes, I think it would be a win.”
LOL, sure a win for Trump of even greater proportions than is already expected. Over the past 3 yrs Trump has gone from an inexperienced unproven TV celebrity to an accomplished President whose leadership skills are well known and whose many accomplishments are a matter of record.
His approval among Blacks has gone from 8% in 2016 to over 40% today and his approval among Hispanics is at close to 50%.
Meanwhile Clinton is still a two time loser who is personally disliked by 75% of Americans.
Finally there has NEVER been an election for President where a VP choice made any difference at all except to hopefully bring the VP home State along. No one needs Hillary to bring NY along and seal the vote.
Anyone who would be dumb enough to take her as VP, will be the one dying in office.
Personally, I don’t think Biden would even make it to his inaugural.
Or impeachment, or declared incompetent and replaced as allowed in the 25th amendment.
Wouldn’t past it her, brother. Not one bit...
But, much like hillary, karma is a bitch. What goes around has a way of coming back around to bite.
I think the adage that a Vice President pick can lose you the election but not win you the election is true. Clinton on the ticket at best would help them lose, not win.
What if Biden agreed to step aside shortly after taking office. Who knows, he may have a terminal condition he's hiding from the public. Get elected, step aside and Hillary is now POTUS. I think she's desperate enough to get in through the back door, if that's what it takes.
Yes anything is possible with DEMS AND CLINTONS. Dems don’t want Bernie. Joe is damaged goods. Can you imagine the power of her connections to the deep state in that position. Privy to lot of information, wield threats over the President, who knows even an unfortunate accident of a President.
It’s been the same basic map since 2000. Now yes PA, MI, WI flipped - but they’ve been fairly close all these years. Hillary was an idiot to think she had those states in the bag.
Their is no 2nd slot for Hillary. Anyone dumb enough to take as a running mate will suddenly be dead in 3 months.
Sure she did, and here's why:
1. Anything is possible with the Queen of Diamonds, and
2. You don't want to give the game away before it's time to spring the trap.
It would be totally plausible if Biden’s brain and Bernie’s heart exploded within months of taking office.
If Biden is stupid enough to choose HRC, then he better get his affairs in order, because he won’t be POTUS for long.
The first thing coming to my mind oh my god, who is the president ?
No one wants to be
She prefers to run as VPOTUS on a Sanders-Clinton ticket or a Biden-Clinton ticket as both of them are likely to die in office.
It would be her easiest path to her most cherished desire. Wouldnt have to campaign much and of course she has 100s of experience having people knocked off.
Too old. Too old. Too old.
Thats it Joe Biden for President—Hillary for VP—Then a month in and he goes away? But I don’t think Trump can be beaten. I only fear the Democrats will arrange an “accident,” for Trump. He better be on his guard 24/7. A president Pence would be branded a religious bigot and might be vulnerable to a Biden/Hillary ticket or a Bloomberg/Harris ticket. In that Bizarro world Pence should pick Donald Jr. as his VP.
