Americas elite - that is, the 30% of adults with at least a college degree - enjoy one very particular privilege that enhances their life and nearly guarantees their success. And too many of them refuse to share it.
The privilege isnt a college education. That merely correlates with what really matters.
And the greatest privilege isnt material wealth. That sure makes life easier, but wealth mostly correlates with the real privilege I'm referring to.
Americas elite have a secret weapon that steers them and their children away from drugs, early death, violence, dropping out of high school, dropping out of the labor force, and so many other modern social ills. Its called the traditional family: A married couple raising their children at home.
As the wealthiest and best-educated Americans steadily tack toward the Democratic Party, this truth butts against some stubborn assumptions made by both sides.

El Rushbo will chat about it tomorrow.
Every rich liberal got their riches by following conservative principals.
Well I’m in Canada but the very reason our children don’t go to public school is the LGBT agenda. Still media is very powerful and it doesn’t particularly alarm or disgust my children as it does me.
Because common sense family values are a good stepping stone to future success. The young kids without fathers do not have the proper discipline or family structure as the ones with complete families. Then we have some siblings “raised” by mom & some live with grandmother. It’s a mess & a shame.
Why is this a surprise to anyone.
They are hypocrites, all.
Socialists are hypocrites.
They dont live by the rules they espouse.
The inner party lives by different rules than the common proles.
FFS FOLKS ITS BASIC 101
Bkmrk.
I remember a couple years ago when a law professor made this exact same point (except she called them bourgeois values, I believe) l, and she was pilloried for it.
Liberal Elite hypocrites - bump for later....
As you can see, there IS indeed a strong linkage between adjusted gross income and marital status:
All returns - ratio of (married filing jointly and separately returns) to total returns in this segment, or 18%
No adjusted gross income (includes deficits) - 0%
AGI of $1 under $5,000 - 1%
$5,000 under $10,000 - 1%
$10,000 under $15,000 - 1%
$15,000 under $20,000 - 1%
$20,000 under $25,000 - 2%
$25,000 under $30,000 - 3%
$30,000 under $40,000 - 4%
$40,000 under $50,000 - 7%
$50,000 under $75,000 - 14%
$75,000 under $100,000 - 30%
$100,000 under $200,000 - 59%
$200,000 under $500,000 - 81%
$500,000 under $1,000,000 - 81%
$1,000,000 under $1,500,000 - 78%
$1,500,000 under $2,000,000 - 78%
$2,000,000 under $5,000,000 - 78%
$5,000,000 under $10,000,000 - 81%
$10,000,000 or more - 82%
Basically, once you hit $500k of AGI, half of all tax returns by AGI bracket are from married folk.
Further, the proportion of filers with AGI over $100k is 66%; that percentage for single filers is 8%.
The elite should preach what they practice, Mr. Murray once wrote. Family structure among the stereotypical anti-Trump elite voter is much more admirable than the median among many voters who never vote Democrat, The former do not necessarily but are less likely to create children out of wedlock, to be reluctant (not guaranteed, please note) to support them financially and emotionally, to divorce, and to generally to place their children, raised in a two-parent household, second to something else going on in their lives.
That is just the way things are, research suggests,
If anyone has data showing otherwise I am happy to look at it, and if necessary apologize.
So the elites are more “tolerant” than the working class ideologically, but they are much more conservative about how they plan to live.
El Rushbo will chat about it tomorrow.
He has all ready talked about it:
The people that are what I consider to be traditional American values Oh, and that is another thing! I have a thing here in the Stack of Stuff, and I knew this. Im kind of frustrated I didnt make the point.
Its about rich white liberals and how they raise their kids and run their families, and its nothing like the crap that they claim to believe. They raise their kids according to conservative values. They care about getting the best education they can.
But they do not admit this publicly, cause they would be considered traitors to the cause. They dont send their kids to Planned Parenthood. They try to keep their kids from getting pregnant. Yeah, its a bunch of total hypocrites.

Excepting that kardashian chick who is a billionaire and has a couple of baby daddies.
yes married,
but on which wife?
“So the elites are more “tolerant” than the working class ideologically, but they are much more conservative about how they plan to live.”
That is very true. The vast majority of successful, so called “liberals” live by very conservative values in their private lives, but in their public pronouncements and voting habits they espouse almost opposite values.
I think most of that has to do with the fact that the propaganda that they choose to immerse themselves in has burdened them with a heavy load of white guilt and they relieve themselves of that guilt by voting liberal and virtue signaling to their friends and acquaintances.
So they commit the sin of Balaam. The Progressive Elites live conservatively while encouraging debauched living for the lower “classes” knowing that such living weakens the lives of the “lower classes” leaving them to be easily controlled and perhaps ultimately disposed of.
Or they act as Balaam, encouraging their “lessers” to live debauched lives knowing that their lessers, thus abandoned by God, will then be dependent on and easily controlled by such evil people.
It doesn’t have to be an either or. It’s both. There are the “community agitators” (what I call the scab pickers) who inflame the masses with envy in order to control them, and then there are the bleeding hearts who want to spend your money to relieve themselves of their guilt.
