There are no registration requirements for weapons
in Virginia.

Thanks for that valuable information. Unfortunately, a hell raising Highway Patrol officer can get into your knickers in a number of ways other than matching a license tag to gun registration. NRA stickers, Don’t Tread on Me license plates, a visible gun rack, etc., may give an over zealous officer the excuse he needs to scrutinize the vehicle and driver for the slightest vehicle infraction (ruse) for a pullover to set up a declaration by the driver that he is armed. When the declaration idea was first floated, it was mostly viewed positively as a means to de-esclate a situation between the officer and the gun bearer. With the clarity of hindsight we see where even a well intended concession on the right to carry has now turned into a way for LE to grab your weapon. Give them an inch and they will take the whole stink’n yard.

Post #113 - Deprivation Of Rights Under Color Of Law
_________________________________
Now that post should be a keeper for all gun owners. Note the enhanced penalties if the rights deprivation is effected with the use of a firearm. I would add 42 U.S.C 1983 to the list where the aggrieved party can personally sue the ass of the offending official.

Activate the Guard, not federalize or nationalize (meaning being placed under the command of federal authorities).

I think.

The Governor can call the Guard to State Active Duty, but the President can mobilize them to Active Federal Service, thereby removing them from state control. It’s been done before during the Civil Rights Era. They can be sent to barracks, or held at their mobilization station under Federal control.
^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^
I like the sound of this.
But it makes me wonder: Why wasn’t this being mentioned when some of the state governors said they would not allow their NG troops be used for border enforcement duties?
I thought Trump had called for some NG troops to be used for the border.

Why didn’t this man have someone with command of English grammar edit this letter?

Because due to the last 50 years of dis-education of our youth, there are few who have even a little command of English.

As predicted in the book, The Sovereign Individual by Rees-Mogg and Davidson, the large nation states are going to break apart and different forms of government will arise, such as march regions and city-states. It seems time for the large cities to go their way and the rest of us to go ours.

The laws are already there it only takes the will to enforce them.

Good, but what if “they” make private ownership of a firearm a crime?

“gun registration”

A backround check is not a gun
registration form. The type of
firearm you’re purchasing is
not recorded on a backround
check form. All backround check
forms must be destroyed within
24 hours according to federal
law.
Federal law prohibits the
federal government
from collecting firearm sales
records in a central repository.
Without a central repository
of all firearm sales records,
tracing is a slow, cumbersome process.
A state cop isn’t going to be able
to tell from your name only, what
type of weapons you may own.
It’s sad and wrong that those who
own “illegal” weapons, are forced
to keep them in their homes, out
of sight. And it goes without
saying, if you own one, keep
your mouth shut, and definitely
don’t be a dummy and carry it
around in your vehicle.
When a cop runs a serial number
of a weapon that’s found in
your vehicle, the only thing
that shows up is if it’s stolen.
That’s when your name is tied
to the weapon.
They truely don’t know what
you have...unless you tell
them.

The President, as CinC could very easily called their bluff and Federalized the Guard units he wanted. There was probably a better way to humble those blowhard Governors/TAG’s...witholding Federal funding for their pet state projects for instance. Playing chicken at that level is a bloody art.

C’mon down to Flori-Duh, ‘Pod!

So far so good, but I hear that Morgan and Morgan and the LIEberals are all about following VA’s lead on gun confiscation.

We’ll see about that!

HST, I don’t think the LIEberals are going to survive this assault on the deplorables! VA will probably remain a safe 2A state.

LIEberals have pissed off a lot of folks!

Why are you still in Maryland? The entire state is a gun-FRee zone, isn’t it?

At some point, it must become the responsibility of the people, not SCOTUS (5 years down the road) to deal with this tyranny.

"only idiots could believe they will kick down doors on family, friends, neighbors, etc. just ain’t gonna happen.."

If I recall my history correctly, that very thing happened quite a bit during both our Revolutionary and Civil wars.

Hunker down and be prepared. Once it starts, it will be far uglier than we think. And once they fire the first shot against us, then all of the fury of hell must be unleashed upon them.

And once it happens, then patriots must drive home the point that no politician who aligns himself or herself against the Constitution should ever have reason to feel safe.

If the US supreme court has Incorporated the 2nd amendment against the states then said law would be struck down by them as well. Otherwise it is constitutionally within the power of a state to ban guns provided its constitution permits this, something i seriously doupt is the case in Virginia.

In any case don’t ask us to help the baby killing state of Virginia to deprive any U.S. Citizen born or unborn of their natural rights. Perhaps Virginia give some meaning to its state moto, thus always to Tyrants.
