This is Sessions’ seat if he wants it.
I am more concerned that the Deep State has dirt on him so he can be manipulated into an impeachment vote even if it ends his political career....and that is why he is going back.

Sessions embodies so much of what is wrong with the Republican party. But being a backstabbing two faced douche bag phoney is what leaps to mind definitely a Romney Republican. I don’t know anything about Doug Jones other than he is a crazy liberal. Has he participated in a failed coupe? There still is time for that I suppose he might be able to level the score with sessions in that regard

I’m glad I don’t have to vote for him. He was either weak and incompetent or corrupt. No matter what he is, he isn’t someone I would want to support.
And this adds a Republican senate seat, which could be key to the GOP retaining control.
The presidential campaign has taken up most attention relating to 2020 elections, but the 2020 Senate map is going to be tough for the GOP. Right now, the margin is 53-47 for the Republicans. Getting back the Alabama seat would bring it to 54-46. Then the GOP could lose a few seats and still retain control. And as we know, in a 50-50 Senate, Mike Pence casts the tie breaking vote, assuming that he and Trump win reelection in November and there’s not a Democrat Vice president.

He’s running to get payback with the President. Hell more than likely go all in with the demsheviks (along with collins, romney, murkowski, etc)

No. Ex-Governor Bentley appointing a crooked AG who covered for the Guv as payment got the ball rolling. Had Bentley appointed literally anyone else we would’ve held the seat.

If Sessions would have been the man and AG we THOUGHT he was going to be and did his job, this fraud impeachment crap would never have gotten off the ground.
He turned out to be worthless - or a tool of “Der Staat”, and does not deserve a shot at that seat now. Trump should support whomever runs against him.
