Colin Kaepernick's reps sought different date for workout

NFL clubs were informed Tuesday that a private workout will be held for free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick on Saturday in Atlanta, according to a copy of a memo obtained by ESPN.

The session will include on-field work and an interview. All teams are invited to attend, and video of both the workout and the interview will be made available to them.

Several clubs have inquired about Kaepernick's current football readiness. He has been out of the NFL since 2016, when he began protesting police brutality and racial injustice by kneeling during the pregame national anthem.

In the memo, the league said: "Earlier this year, we discussed some possible steps with his representatives and they recently emphasized his level of preparation and that he is ready to work out for clubs and be interviewed by them. We have therefore arranged this opportunity for him to work out, and for all clubs to have the opportunity to evaluate his current readiness and level of interest in resuming his NFL career."

Why would any team risk hiring Kaepernick? Do they want a loose cannon who could damage their ticket sales?

They don’t say which leagues these clubs are in. Keep pushing the narrative that the NFL is boycotting Kaepernick.

He made his bed. Besides hasn’t it come out that Kaepenick has made like over 30 million with contracts with Nike and whomever else? Arguably more than he would have made as an active quarterback.

I think many clubs should show interest in him. This serves two purposes. #1 It shows there is no bias/boycott and #2 It builds up his hopes when they turn him down once again.

Kapernick doesn't like that the workout is on a Saturday? Ok. No workout for you!

Fans have made it clear, they don’t want this loser. No team in their right mind would take on his SJW politics.
Let NIKE keep him.

Count on the Redskins to pick him up. And if they do, I’m a Cowboys fan forever.

...when he began protesting fictitious police brutality and racial injustice...

As we all know, police are the most dangerous thing to a Black man. It certainly isn’t another Black man...

He reportedly got a huge payoff by the NFL. It should have included a provision that he would never play in or attempt to play in the NFL. Unless he wants to give the money back.

If that kind of scratch doesn’t come with a “and stay gone” provision, the NFL is dumber than I thought. And it is obvious it didn’t.

Wasn’t he like 11 or 12 losses against 1 win his last season? And that was like three years ago? Yeah, I got to get some of that kind of quarterback. That’s what those teams are thinking
