My dad worked in a prison. A nasty maximum security prison. You might be surprised to hear that this may backfire on liberals big-time. Nobody can better judge if a person is guilty of a crime than an inmate who has been surrounded by criminals for 20 years. A classic be careful what you wish for situation.
Newsom is daring us to recall him. That, or he knows we are going to, and he’s trying to establish as much of his agenda as he can before we do.

Prosecutors will be able to keep the worst felons off of juries by using their peremptory challenges. But they get only so many challenges. So many bleeding hearts who would have been challenged will now slip through.
Maybe that was the goal all along.
The inmates truly are running the asylum.
If a convicted felon is stated to be the “peer” of the person on trial, are they then not saying that person is also a felon?
If called to jury duty you can say you are not eligible as you have committed no felonies.
The accused is pre-sumed innocent. Those convicted of murder are not presumed innocent. Therefore convicted murderers on a jury is not a jury of ones peers.
If a felon is to biased for a jury why isn’t a non-felon also? If a prosecutor is biased towards conviction, why do they become judges? Bias, bias everywhere there’s bias. Can’t you see the signs?
