FULL TITLE: Mystery over identity of 'white male' shooter as Texas police withhold name before reported noon announcement
Authorities in Texas have still not released the name of the gunman or type of firearm that was used after a rampage that left at least seven dead and 19 injured.
The shooting occurred in and around the cities of Odessa and Midland, Texas. The only information that has been released about the shooter, who was killed by police, is that he is a white male in his mid-30s.
The gunfire erupted in the late afternoon after the suspect shot an officer who had pulled him over and fled. The gunman continued shooting and hijacked a U.S. Postal vehicle to a local movie theater where a shootout with police took place. It was initially thought that there were two suspects, sending cities into lockdown mode, although police later said that there was only one gunman, who was killed.
Some on Twitter wondered why the shooter's identity has not yet been released.

Name was Beto Warren Sanders-Cortez but yesterday morning had been legally changed at the County Clerk’s office to Adolph Trump Bircher.
An American white man who follows Trump and is a domestic terrorist with 12 hour old posts all over Facebook, Twitter,Instagram and Google searches all saying he loves the KKK and white supremacy. Earlier than yesterday morning he never posted one thing on any social media in any way. Never voted or went to any high school or college or held any job. Identity searches are blank.

It would likely cause some of those who knew him to tell more about him. I agree, in principle, that we ought to avoid giving attention to people who committed horrific acts....if that person is still alive. In this case, he’s dead.

You are simply regurgitating Media Talking points. Mass shootings as defined by the FBI are overwhelmingly gang related and committed primarily by Blacks and to a lesser degree Hispanics. The media and you conflate the much much rarer random mass shooting with all Mass shootings which deliberately misleads as to perpetrators.
There are roughly 12k gun deaths per year that are true homicides ( not suicides) of that number the FBI has determined that more than 80% are gang related. This means that the USA does not have a gun problem. It has a criminals w/guns problem but the problem is the CRIMINALS.
Why don’t we come up with a “solution” that effectively handles the criminals with guns first and then we can see if anything more is actually needed. AND if we can’t come up with a solution that can effectively address Criminals, let’s leave the law abiding alone.

White male? What if he’s from FLA and is tan, is he different from a white male? Wouldn’t an Asian be white? They aren’t really yellow. We have an Orange white man as POTUS. Why not use some other parameter? I see an unstable male felon shooter shooting randomly at unarmed people while engaged in a gun fight with law enforcement officers. (Of multi-colors? Narratives and agenda rule in reporting for the media.)

Sorry to bother you with facts: most violence in this country is perpetrated by black male youths. These mass murders, while usually at the hand of white guys, are rare. They seem like they happen every day in the same way most people think the gay population in the US is over seventy percent: the mass media.
Because WHITE MALE are the most important talking points to the media. It is not about identification it’s not about identification, it’s about labeling.
Besides this gives them time to sanitize his history before someone can copy it.

Open carry of rifles is legal in Texas. Carrying a rifle in a vehicle is legal in Texas.

I would like to know a little more than he is a “WHITE male in his mid thirties”. Sadly, I don’t believe they would have immediately announced, “a BLACK MALE, or a MIDDLE EASTERN MALE, OR A LATINO MALE.
If we misunderstand their reasoning, it’s all on them because of the continual war on TOXIC WHITE MALES, in their minds they are fair game.
