A day after California Sen. Kamala Harris went on the offensive against Joe Biden about race at the Democratic debate, Cory Booker similarly hit back at racial comments made by the former vice president.
While attempting to defend his record on civil rights in Chicago Friday, the 76-year-old Biden waded into more controversy with a remark he made about hoodies.
“We've got to recognize that kid wearing a hoodie may very well be the next poet laureate and not a gangbanger,” Biden told the crowd.
Booker, a 50-year-old senator from New Jersey, hit back at the comments over Twitter. He said the way Biden talks about race is not constructive.
“This isn’t about a hoodie. It’s about a culture that sees a problem with a kid wearing a hoodie in the first place. Our nominee needs to have the language to talk about race in a far more constructive way,” Booker said.

Joe Biden is not too bright in the brain Department. The ignorant, sans brain and smarts, buffoon, soul was chosen by Barack Hussein Obama to his VP and the “Official Obama, Licking Lap Dog”!!! I can assure you Joe Biden is POTUS Toast, he is finished, he is cooked, he is very dumb...he and the current Democrat Party is imploding, politically by their own internal and external actions & words.

He should say “Take your PC BS and shove it, Booker.” But he won’t say that so he will remain vulnerable.

I sometimes listen to the Chicago Police radio in the evening. Every damned description is “tall black male in a hoodie,” “group of black teens in hoodies and basketball shorts,” overe and over and over. No mention of poetry or poets laureate. Stereotypes don’t spring from thin air. And yeah, Plugs just needs to tell high-yellow-on-the-down-low Booker to shove his get-whitey race-baiting nonsense, but he never will.
Never interrupt the enemy while they are destroying themselves.
After "What-about-ism", now we have "This-isn't-about-ism."

This election isn’t about one guy in one office. It’s about a referendum on who we are and who we must be to one another. Beating Donald Trump is a must, but that is a floor, not a ceiling. We are bigger than that.
Cory said "This isn't about" and "We are bigger than that" in the same tweet, so if it's not too early in the day, you can take two drinks.

I own a dozen hoodies. Not once have I ever had the "hoodie" portion on my head indoors or in non-winter temperatures. When I see a hoodied person in those situations, I don't give a crap what color skin the person has, but my antenna goes up and I keep my eyes pealed.
You are so right, but that is what everyone refuses to say because it would show just which group commits the most violent crime. That is the elephant in the living room.

Bidet is uniquely situated right now to plunge a dagger into the heart of PC - if he only had the courage. He is in the political fight of his life and the hyenas have encircled him looking for opportunities to strike.
I’d actually have some measure of respect for him if he could muster the courage to tell Booger to sod off - but you’re right - it’ll never happen and eventually (not long now) they will take him down.
