Russia wasting money it doesn’t have ,sounds good
It was reported last week that it was accompanied by a heavy tug when it left the Med. I wonder if the tug came with it.
One of the ships that is in its battle group is a sea going tug. Gotta wonder....
Support vessels included the logistics vessel Elbrus, medium sea tanker Kama, and rescue tug Nikolai Chiker, according to the Russian Navy."Rescue" tug -- in other words, to rescue the frigate breaks down.
The cruise ships have pulled out because of the travel ban.
So this is Russia’s cheap excuse for grandstanding.
The funny part is that the Cubans don’t like the Russians and Bulgarians because they don’t tip.
From the story:
Support vessels included the logistics vessel Elbrus, medium sea tanker Kama, and rescue tug Nikolai Chiker, according to the Russian Navy.
They brought their own fuel, food, and ocean-going tugboat. Hoping, apparently, that only one ship breaks down. They didn't bring the Admiral Kuznetsov inasmuch as that piece of nautical scrap is still in Kola Bay being dismembered, probably best for everyone associated.
Thanks. I corrected myself in #5. It does pay to read the excerpts, doesn’t it?
Cuban Missile Crisis 2.0
Thanks Jimmy for giving away the Panama canal. I guess the Chinese still run the canal?
It could be worse. We could be sitting on the deck listening to Celine Dion warbling the Titanic theme song and watching for icebergs...in the Caribbean...
Did they send a tow barge with them?
We aren’t going to waste ammunition putting them on the bottom of the ocean.
They will probably break down and rust...

Yeah, no kidding. Thanks Jimmy for the problems in the Middle East as well as the Panama Canal.
Maybe Obama will go to Havana and invite the Russians to watch a ballgame with him.
One warship and six tugboats to get it across the Atlantic.
One LA Class FastAttack would make quick work of the whole formation.
