The emaciated man from Russia’s remote Republic of Tuva was preserved as ‘tin-can’ food to eat later by a brown bear, say local reports in the region. A group of local hunters found Alexander after their dogs refused to leave the area of the den. Their persistent barking pushed the hunters to check inside the lair, where they found a barely-alive man. He was rushed to the local hospital and has been diagnosed with a broken spine and severe emaciation. Alexander remembers his first name but not his age, and was reportedly in the den for around one month, drinking urine to survive.
He is now in the intensive care with multiple injuries and rotting skin. He can move his arms, local hospital doctors said.
He managed to explain that he was attacked and dragged inside the den when he broke his spine. The attack happened approximately a month ago, Alexander said. ‘The bear preserved me as food for later’, he explained.

Jesus, please end his suffering either through health or a painless death. What a fighter! Russians... never count a Russian out, even if they are rotting and broken those dudes may still have breath in them!
On March 9th, 2009, I was in a coma for 6 months after a terrible accident. One day my nurse turned the radio over to a song by Justin Bieber, so I got up and turned the radio off.
So, this guy is really lucky...

Congratulations on your recovery! Justin Bieber would probably say “you must be racist” for disliking one of his songs. (Sarcasm). People not too bright often use ‘racist’ out of context.
He needs bear steaks every day for the next 50 years as pay back.
Then again, don’t be surprised if you’re the dinner when you wander around in a bear’s grocery store.
Something clearly did happen to this man. I don’t know if it was as described. If he had to use urine to survive with, that would require an intake of new fluids. If immobilized with a broken spine, where was he obtaining those fluids from?
Even eating plants or moss for the water would require some movement. Perhaps it was not for a month, but about two weeks. Were there no other predators around to ravage him further? Certainly his growing scent of decay would have advertised his presence to other animals. Anyway, I glad he survived, and can hopefully live without chronic pain.
There are several points in this story which cause me to doubt the veracity.
