Horribly bad example.
You mean there’s no such thing as warm or cool or tepid? This is the perfect example of a non-binary or analog range. Hot and cold are tendencies in one direction or another. “Binary” is not at all the correct term to use. We don’t go around perceiving Platonic ideals or extremes; we see tendencies or propensities.
Up/down is one dichotomy that does fit, along with right/left. These are not physical quantities like heat. Relative to something else, a thing is either upwards or downwards or at the same level or undefined (if no frame of reference exists).
Male/female is troublesome because it depends if you are looking at the micro or macro range. At the macro range, we all know what characteristics qualify an individual as one or the other: it is basically binary. But micro analysis (genetics) makes the dichotomy less clear. Still, none of this justifies letting an individual arbitrarily assign its own gender; nor would this find favor with God IMO. The number of individuals in the world who are naturally both-sexed or neither-sexed (based on macro and micro factors) is extremely small and shouldn’t unduly concern us.

The citizens certainly seem interested in getting rid of the politicians; I don’t know what they are up against. They make it clear in the town meetings that they blame the politicians.
I have no idea what they should do or are capable of doing, within the law.
Perhaps a GoFundMe account to raise bux to sue the city?
Surely there is a way to grab the city “leaders” by their short hairs and get SOMETHING done to clean up these cities!

enforce the laws against sleeping on the street or in public places.
Give citizens tickets to give to beggars for meals at soup kitchens instead money.
No defecating or urinating in public
Enforce drug and public incarceration laws
Triage everyone to screen for mental illness.
Change mental illness laws to allow for custody in 100 bed centers around the state. No mental patient should be living on the street.
This not mentally ill or physically handicapped must find apace to live, apply for welfare, or get a job. No street living.
For every guilty finding double fine or jail time for subsequent offenses.
Aggressive enforcement of laws.
