**SNIP**
Democrats have the logic of the impeachment completely backwards. They wont lose because they pursued impeachment and failed. Princeton historian Kevin Kruse is right: Donald Trump isnt Bill Clinton and Bob Mueller isnt Ken Starr.
Instead, theyll lose because they failed to pursue impeachment. The reason is that the American public already believes that Democrats are too risk-averse and too rational; that they dont lead from the heart, even when they genuinely care about doing the right thing. Whether recalling President Obamas mantra to not do stupid sh** in foreign policy (i.e., better to err on the side of inaction, as opposed to action), or the 1988 debate blunder of Michael Dukakis, generally, Democrats are seen as weak and gutless, lacking in courage.
Part of the reason Trump won in 2016 is that the American people knew he would fight for what he believes, even if many didnt like him or agree with what he said. They admired his strength and authenticity, even though the basis of his strength was bully behavior (e.g., name-calling and creeping up on Hillary Clinton during their debate) and brutality was the hallmark of his authenticity (e.g., saying that he likes people who werent captured when asked about Sen. John McCains military service and experience as a prisoner of war during Vietnam).
As such, if Democrats ignore Trumps outlandish conduct and fail to take action, stand up for the Constitution and take the political risk of opening an impeachment inquiry, they will only reinforce the American publics perception about their party being the Mommy party the party that cares for people, but doesnt like to fight.

And yet, San Fran Gran Nan thinks otherwise. RATS could be in a pickle.
They want to have the impeachment before AG Barr comes out with his devastating report.
“the American public already believes that Democrats are too risk-averse and too rational;”
Yep, “rational” and “risk-averse”, that’s what Americans think of when they think about Democrats.
The last comment in this article THINKS that Trumps bullying behavior is ground for impeachment GIVE ME A DAMN BREAK!!!
There is going to come a time when they beg for mercy.
They will scream and cry and tell us lots of sad stories.
So, we must remember this.
When they had the chance to come clean about their crimes and act like adults, they instead threatened and bullied like children.
Remember that.
Remember that.
They want to have the impeachment before AG Barr comes out with his devastating report.

That might be a good calculation on their part. There is tremendous resistance to Barr’s inquiry notwithstanding president Trump’s order putting him in charge of declassifying related documents. The FBI, State and Intel are doing everything they can to thwart Barr so breaking this log jam could take awhile. Unless, of course, Trump and Barr clean house which is what I think they need to do without further delay.
The country cannot afford to allow bureaucrats to resist presidential directives and selectively respond to only that which they feel like responding to. Trump is at a crossroads; he needs to re-assert control over his own executive branch or we will never get to the bottom of this massive scandal.
The reason is that the American public already believes that Democrats are too risk-averse and too rational; that they dont lead from the heart, even when they genuinely care about doing the right thing.

This has to be satire.
“Outlandish conduct” is as close as they can come to identifying a crime. It’s a politically motivated witch hunt.
This is a joke right?
Creeping up on Hillary when she walked in front of him--the writer has Trump Derangement Syndrome.
There are many on the ‘RAT side that deserve to be in prison for their treason and insurrection when their accusations have no evidence.
This be treason.
I have to say, that's as far as I read
Anybody that truly believes that line is clearly not living in a reality-based world
On another thread on FR:
Attorney General William Barr said he does not think Obama-era Justice Department officials committed treason. “Not as a legal matter, no,” Barr told CBS News

Do we have to dial down our happy expectations? Way down?
Hope not.
Please follow the advice of someone who has never run in any campaign. PLEASE???
Last time I looked being a bully was not a high crime or misdemeanor. I don’t care how the Dems do it as long as they lose in 2020.
That's fine.
They can share a tree...
No one will do a damn thing to them, ever. And many of us will smile and wave as they send us to the trains after they regain power. Not me, but there’s a lot of big talk. As a people, we won’t do shit.
Thanks for that background information. I see that she also served in the Clinton Department of Education.
TOTALLY clean administration, that one...
