Residents near New York City are bracing for the impact of a possible tornado that could bring strong winds and possible flash floods to the area.
The National Weather service issued tornado warnings for several counties surrounding Manhattan on Tuesday evening, urging residents in the path of the "dangerous storm" to stay inside.
The service said the storms could produce hail the size of quarters.
"Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely," NWS said in a statement. "This Tornado Warning replaces the Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for the same area."

They just lifted the tornado warning in my area here in northern New Jersey at 10:15 PM.

It is global warming and Trump’s fault.

Tornado Watches are for possible tornadoes.
Im surprised they arent issuing Mars Alien Attack warnings, because that illustrates the same approach.

Stay safe everyone.

Global warning causes fewer tornadoes!

You’d think the buildings in Manhattan would break up a funnel that didn’t go straight down the street.

Will it be near De Bozos walled mansion?
I cancelled my trip to NYC because of this storm.
Accuweather still has it up:
Severe Thunderstorm Warning
Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect until
Well if you’re in Manhattan but going to the Village you’re probably not straight anyway.
Youd think the buildings in Manhattan would break up a funnel that didnt go straight down the street.
An F5 would reduce Manhattan to rubble.
Spoken like someone who lives well out of tornado country. Tornado warnings, even if not confirmed tornadoes, are given when radar indicates a possible tornado. These warnings save lives, as evidenced by the monster tornado which went through NE Kansas tonight, with no known deaths at this time.
