Bill and Hillary Clintons Life in Exile: The Once-Powerful Political Couple Now Seeks Attention, Audience
One evening, ... an old friend and adviser to Bill and Hillary Clinton sat down with the former president for dinner... Bill, ... looked thinner and more tired ... He is 72 now, ... He was, the friend says, a bit sad, and more than a bit angry. [SNIP]
This guys political brain is still sharpamong the sharpest in the partyand he worries that [the Democratic Party] may be frittering away the chance it has to beat Trump next year.Thats where the anger comes in. And the sadness? He realizes, politically, hes in exile, and to some extent Hillary is too.
This is a tough time for them. For reasons both political and personal, Bill and Hillary, the most powerful couple in the modern era of American politics, stand on the sidelines as one of the most important election cycles for Democrats unfolds. [snip]
They have been cast aside for obvious reasons. Democratic politics have changed markedly since the Clintons ruled Washington. The economic successes of the era were rooted in centrist policies:... balanced budget... free trade. Now, in both parties, there is not much of a constituency for either. [snip]
None of that, of course, is at the heart of Bills exile. In the #MeToo era, the personal has become the political. And his history of skirt chasing... is no longer defensible...When Hillary insisted ... that her husbands affair with... Monica Lewinsky was not an abuse of power because she was an adult, the press reaction was scathing... the furor had a profoundly depressing effect on the first couple... For Bill, it brought up all the bad times, and it showed yet again that Hillary just has no political fingertips. It couldnt have been worse.

Here is another excerpt:
"Until that point, it had been an open secret in Clinton world that Hillary was at least considering another presidential run,... She was being urged on by Bill,...,who was convinced she would beat Donald Trump in a rematch. To both of them, Trump had been predictably awful. They felt that, even with a relatively good economy, he was very vulnerable.
And, "A Gallup Poll in the fall of 2018 had her at 36 percent. If there was ever any hope that Hillary might go for round two against Trump, defending Bills conduct with Lewinsky ended it."
Hmmm Should I be laughing
Low class BS artists with minds blown by coke, alcohol and weed...
I am saddened that Mrs. Bill will never achieve her dream of world domination.
Another snivelling screed from the bootlickers at Newsweak. Disgusting toadies.
Damn. I was hoping they’d moved to Bahrain...
They would be almost royalty if Hillary had not been a Senator, SOS, and candidate for President.
Bill would be a force to reckon with if hilLIARy was not around.
She is the negative, always has been. When he was elected president they had to hide her away during the election, AND after the disastrous hilLiARy-care fiasco.
Because he wants to see her suffer a double humiliation by casting his second vote for Trump.
Rapin Bill is bumming because he can't rape any more 16-year-olds and get away with it...
When Hitlery dies, the Devil will lock the gates of hell to keep her out. He won’t want the competition.
This situation reminds me of how similar national politics can be to show business. Just like many actors who insist on staying in the limelight after their popularity ebbs, and will do anything to make that happen, both Clintons are hooked on being treated like famous, celebrities.
Somebody needs to write a short play with Hillary in an update of “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane.”
Crazy Nancy can play the Joan Crawford role.
“Didn’t I tell you not to use coat hangers?”
“It’s okay, mom. They’re for abortions.”
“Well, alright. Never mind.”
Is that supposed to be an endorsement? The party leaders are AOC, Tlaib, Pelosi, Omar, Broncobama and Jerry the Hut Nadler. You gotta be kidding me. 😂
The admiration the writer has for those two cant be suppressed. No matter how much bad news is cited about them.
I imagine both draw pensions from Arkansas and each had their own Federal ones. Id be deliriously happy with one pension. They must think theyre really slumming it and its the bad orange mans fault.
a harbinger for barkie and the mooch: your sell-by date commeth...
Whatever bad may come my way in this life...
For the rest of her life... still not my president.
