He’s correct, in that the followers of Socialism are the control freaks.
The leaders are after the loot they can grab, so they control the control freaks.
Let’s face it, too, pretty much everybody is looking for a higher authority. I, personally, think it is the space that God is supposed to fill, but in any event, we’re all made, or “evolved” that way. These losers are just being lead around by their noses like Jim Jones’ followers were, by those who understand this.

One might even expand the definition to something such as...
..."control freaks who frequently indulge in magical thinking".
Socialists are certain that when they control everyone, they can make everything miraculously better, even though the socialist myth has been dramatically disproved, over-and-over, typically with misery beyond imagination.
