The National Rifle Association's Institute For Legislative Action's Chris Cox penned an article reminding Second Amendment supporters of the challenges – and victories – gun owners have had, despite calls for stricter gun control legislation.

Moms Demand Action founder Shannon Watts saw the piece but must have skimmed it. Either that or she doesn't understand the very basics of firearms and ammunition. She took to Twitter to attempt to call out the NRA for defending "armor piercing ammunition," the very ammo that's used for self-defense purposes.

Oddly enough, if you look at her twitter feed thing or whatever it’s called, it’s stated that she’s the founder of ‘Moms demanding some action’(wink wink). No mention of nannie bloomers.

Funny how those who know little to nothing about firearms and ammo are the first to tell the rest of what we should be allowed to have and how we should use it.

My older brother, whom I love dearly, but who wouldn't know a 12 gauge pump from a deck-mounted Bofors 40mm is always quick to tell me all of his gun-control fantasies. None make any sense, mind you. His last stroke of genius was that he'd only allow those involved in "reenactments" to own full autos. When I asked him what reenactments had to do with 2A, or why such people should be favored over the rest of the populace he gave me a puzzled/frustrated look and ended the conversation.

I'm working on him, though. I figure if I can get him out to the range a few times, he'd begin to see the light.

I wonder how many crimes per year depend on the use of AP. Certainly not jihadi massacres, Las Vegas loon massacre, school loon massacres, gang shootings, LEO’s shot at traffic stops, LEO’s ambushed by illegal aliens or NOI converts, spousal murders, rapes/robberies, etc. There must an example in past decade where AP versus non-AP projectiles made a genuine difference — maybe this Watts woman should provide a list of examples.
