Panic! At The DOJ? Obama's Spy Czar Nukes Comey And FBI Director Wray's

The cat is out of the bag. You cannot put the toothpaste back in the tube. It seems like the Obama administration spied on the Trump campaign. The only thing left is figuring out the final cast of characters. James Comey, Rod Rosenstein, and some other familiar faces should be yanked back onto the Hill to discuss everything. From this apparent spy operation against the Trump campaign to FISA abuses, there are rumblings that the impending IG report on these abuses will be “scorching.” So, is there panic? There might be, especially after former Director of National Intelligence under Obama, James Clapper, nuked the FBI’s position that no spying occurred against the Trump team in 2016. The New York Times reported that some woman named Azra Turk was sent over by the FBI (or CIA) to oversee the spying operation, which also included longtime CIA operative Stefan Halper trying to infiltrate the campaign. Ms. Turk reportedly was a “honeypot” trying to pump information out of George Papadopoulos, who said he has no gripes with the Times’ piece other than he thought Turk was CIA. Yeah, former CIA director under Obama, John Brennan, is also on the list of people who need to get the hell back to the Hill to answer questions.

Yet, Michael Goodwin of the NY Post also noted how it’s a bit disturbing that the liberal media takes all of this at face value. How do we know this wasn’t a plot to stop Trump from being elected? How do we know nothing illegal occurred? All should be answered in due time. With Attorney General William Barr at the helm at DOJ, I have confidence that this will happen.

.@Comey on Barr saying the Trump camp was spied on: "I have no idea what he’s talking about. The FBI doesn’t spy. The FBI investigates. The Republicans need to breathe into a paper bag." pic.twitter.com/8P4m9s5Rvs— Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) May 8, 2019

Still, Comey asserts that the FBI doesn’t spy, which is absurd in the post-9/11 world. Of course, the FBI is an intelligence agency. It’s the domestic arm of that community, while the CIA handles foreign surveillance. FBI Director Wray also tried to run interference on this narrative (via NBC News):

FBI Director Chris Wray said Tuesday that he would not describe the federal government's surveillance, such as that conducted on President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign, as "spying," as Attorney General William Barr has.

During a Senate Appropriations subcommittee hearing, Wray was asked by Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., about Barr's statement last month that "spying did occur" on the Trump campaign.

"I was very concerned by his use of the word spying, which I think is a loaded word," Shaheen said. "When FBI agents conduct investigations against alleged mobsters, suspected terrorists, other criminals, do you believe they're engaging in spying when they're following FBI investigative policies and procedures?"

"That's not the term I would use," Wray said of "spying." "So, I would say that's a no to that question."

But Clapper had already come in like a wrecking ball, saying what happened to the Trump campaign fits the dictionary definition of—wait for it—spying. Of course, he also spun it to make it seem less pernicious, but it’s becoming clear that some unprecedented operation was executed against a rival presidential campaign (via Free Beacon)

Clapper on Obama Admin.: What They Did to Trump Campaign 'Meets the Dictionary Definition of Spying'

James Clapper, a CNN contributor and former Director of National Intelligence, admitted last Friday that what the Obama administration did to the Trump campaign "meets the dictionary definition of spying."

Clapper, who served as the DNI during the Obama administration, appeared on CNN's Situation Room to discuss new revelations that the FBI sent an undercover agent to meet with George Papadopoulos in London in 2016, backtracking from his prior comments about there not being any spying.

"Was it spying?" asked host Wolf Blitzer.

"Well, yeah I guess it meets the dictionary definition of spying—surveillance or spying, a term I don't particularly like," Clapper said. "It's not a term used by intelligence people. It has a negative connotation, a rogue operation, out of control, not in compliance of the law, and that's not the case at all."

So, you may not like the term, Obama-ites and liberal media clowns, but that’s what happened. And frankly, we don’t care if you’re uncomfortable with the term. We won. We’re going to find out what you did and brutal retribution should be carried out to those responsible.

And the truth shall set you free!

Indeed! Like you, I've kept close watch on corrupt Comey primarily because I'm certain he was an integral part of the coup against candidate Trump from the beginning and we know that he purposely started the Mueller investigation by committing the crime of leaking classified information to his stealthily hired FBI pal who then provided his memos to the NYT for publication.

Comey has always been loyal to Obammie and the radical Left. He's no boy scout. He's just another slick, lying lawyer, straight from NY's Southern District where very ambitious, power-seeking, democrat prosecutors become big name defense attorneys or appointed heads of gov't agencies.

The honest ones, like Rudy Guiliani and Chris Christie go on to run for elected office and become great Republican Governors.

BTW, I must remember to write a FR mail to you regarding Truman/McCarthy/FBI/CIA/missing files.

Sure Barr can read it.

All of it.

And I am sure he has.

I believe he could declassify anything except those things which the Rule of Law prevents him from doing, such as Grand Jury information and also information on people that were investigated but were found to be clean.

{Of course the dems want everyone doxed so they can infer that they have done actions that are illegal.

(Smearing.

(Doxing is done for malicious reasons.)

But he would get so much heat from doing so that I think Trump himself will declassify the really important stuff.

It’s just a matter of time until all of the players that broke laws and made decisions from their basis of hate for Trump are brought up on charges.

The corruption is deep.

John Soloman and Sara Carter are the best and most accurate investigative reporters on the scene at this time.

They are phenomenal.

Wray is a snake like the rest of the players in the swamp.

Please do-I had started off liking Truman, his crustiness, but over time, have come to see him more as a party hack and less as a patriot...and those missing files were one of the things that really bugged me.

I look forward to hearing from you, onyx!

“I believe President Trump can declassified anything he wants.”

I’m still waiting for the declassification of JFK data, which is apparently SO damaging to our Republican domestic enemies, it must wait until after his re-election.

“Was it spying?” asked host Wolf Blitzer.”

Clapper responds: “Well, yeah I guess it meets the dictionary definition of spying—surveillance or spying, a term I don’t particularly like,” Clapper said. “It’s not a term used by intelligence people. I think so too.

The corruption is deep.

It will shake this nation to its core! Which is just what it needs.

I do not want to see these clowns pulled back to Congress for more testimony. This just gives them an opportunity to further spin their lies. Just indict them and let a prosecutor do his or her thing with a real jury, in a court of law.

If Comey can articulate a crime that was actually being “investigated,” I’d love to hear it. Otherwise, using the tools of government to uncover confidential private information without investigating a suspected crime is the very definition of “spying.”

I think he circled back to Papadopoulos on his CNN townhall. I occasionally check in on PapaD tweets. Here is one from yesterday:

“It has come to my attention that Judge Napolitano was openly discussing the Russians in possession of thousands of Clinton emails on Fox News on May 9, 2016. The day before I met Downer! what a freaking joke Comey is. So much for the “predicate”! I am exposing all.”

Look at Clapper trying to keep his Career Dissipation Light from blinking red (See Backdraft, the movie). This dude is addicted to Lincoln Town Cars with a driver, and CNN green rooms, and probably seeing his big bald head covered with pancake makeup on a 72" monitor...

For at least 2 years any non-imbecile with intellectual curiosity has known beyond ANY doubt whatsoever that they were illegally trying to stop Trump from being elected. Dear Town Hall and every other self-bankrupting old media publication: Spying occurred. Crimes were committed.

Partner, u hit a homerun with these 2 statements.

We think that James Comey, Clapper, Susan Rice, Wray, Brennan, Rosenweasel, Peter Strozk, and his girlfriend all should be in Fort Leavenworth.

Former AG Loretta Lynch should be in at Fort Leavenworth because of that Tarmac meeting with Bill Clintoon.

What a bunch of unsavory folks who supported the witch Miss Hillary to become our POTUS. Heck they were all crying when the witch did not win plus the witch knows how to cheat the system.

I heard George Papadopoulos say the FBI started spying on him when he was on the Ben Carson campaign!!

Ben Carson was the frontrunner for awhile! When it was TRUMP they honed in on him!

This spying was on whoever was the frontrunner imho!

You forgot that before hanging, they should be drawn and quartered.

Bring back the stocks to the public square.

Or, better yet a 24/7 channel devoted to miscreants of all sizes and shapes...WITH ACTUAL SENTENCES...not just a bunch of finger pointing...

Make...’Don’t tell my Mother’ come back into light, bare your sins so the GENERAL PUBLIC knows what a lying POS one really is...

I have an aunt 5 years older and she has bought into the anti Trump BS - mainly because that is all she ‘hears/sees’...

I really didn’t want to ‘argue’ with her so I just pointed out the PDJT was better than the alternate and probably better than the other 30 or so from both sides that originally opposed him.

When she ‘sorta’ agreed with me, I reminded her of the 60s when the ‘news readers’ of the time were the most ‘trusted’ people in American and it was found out they were lying to us about Vietnam and, yes, she did remember and I told her that was basically what she was seeing now.

Maybe I didn’t completely convert her but at least she seemed to be seeing things in a ‘new light’.
