Sorry, but economic sanctions and sabotage in order to bring death, disease, and starvation to an innocent population is an American Value I reject.

But it is an Venezuelan value you accept?

Venezuela, Cuba, Russia, and China did far more to destroy the Venezuelan economy and infrastructure than any U.S. sanctions.

The Venezuela policies of getting rid of all skilled workers, and nationalizing the productive assets, did the sabotage to Venezuela's economy.

What we see in Venezuela is not murder. It is suicide, more properly, assisted suicide, with the Chavista's assisting everyone else!

So you are blaming President Trump for Venezuela’s collapse? How illogical. The corrupt Chavez/Maduro Leftists have been in charge for a decade, long before President Trump took office.

+1

The lights, water, central air, hd satellite tv, high speed internet, and cafeteria are never shut down for President Maduro, his wife, girlfriend, drug dealer, bodyguards, pharmacist, maids and massage therapists. The government’s got to keep running for the citizens of Venezuela.

But you don’t understand. There’s nothing wrong with the government they voted for. It’s just that the person in charge of it made a few mistakes. All they need is a new leader and socialism will work. /s/

“Maria Gabriela Chavez, 35, the late president’s second-oldest daughter, holds assets in American and Andorran banks totaling almost $4.2billion, Diario las Americas reports.”
“ Alejandro Andrade, who served as Venezuela’s treasury minister from 2007 to 2010 and was reportedly a close associate of Chavez, was discovered to have $11.2billion in his name sitting in HSBC accounts in Switzerland, according to documents leaked by whistleblower Hervé Falciani.”

Buy a lot of generators with that sort of graft and I’m sure that’s just scratching the surface. Maduro has his own stash, I’m sure.

Maduro has his own stash, I’m sure.

Unlike Hillary and Bill who left office broke. </s>

What I read is that the reason for the blackouts is that all of the experienced power company operators have fled the country. So no, I don’t think it has anything to do with US policy.

*** So you are blaming President Trump for Venezuela’s collapse? ***

Did I say that? Venezuela has experienced sanctions by the US gov’t since 2011. They have increased incrementally.

CANVAS, an NGO, (Centre for Applied Nonviolent Action and Strategies) has been exposed as allying itself with Stratfor in regards to regime change in Venezuela. This was exposed by WikiLeaks in 2014. Venezuela’s electric grid is cited as a soft spot back in 2010, four years prior to WikiLeaks publishing the leaks.

Remember 2013 not a neocon Donald Trump? Or Candidate Trump? The one who said no more Regime Change Wars? Out of Syria, and Afghanistan? The one I couldn’t imagine deciding a nuclear KSA is a good thing, and then sell them the needed technology to bring it to fruition?

Our refusal to buy their oil makes little difference to them. As far as I know, they simply cannot get most of it out of the ground, so it does not really matter to whom they sell the remnant that they can extract.

As for the power plants blowing up, what proof do you have that we’re causing that?
