The Cut recently ran a piece by Jen Gann, an outspoken, pro-choice mother who details her journey through in vitro fertilization (IVF) and genetic testing as she aims to conceive a healthy child. Her first pregnancy resulted in a son with cystic fibrosis, a life-threatening disease, and what she considers a missed opportunity to abort him.
In 2017, Gann filed a wrongful death lawsuit against her doctors for inadequate genetic testing that she claims would have likely determined her son had cystic fibrosis and would have then provided her the option to abort him.
I responded to her lawsuit two years ago, because this story is very personal to me. Not only because I believe life is the most valuable gift generously bestowed upon mankind, but because I also have a child living with cystic fibrosis.
It pained me, again, to see Gann reiterate in print her desire to end her sick childs life.
Sadly, we see this far too often. The left pushes a false narrative when it comes to human dignity. Masked in the so-called desire to prevent a sick child from suffering, pro-choice activists actually devalue the sickest among us. Their drive to abort unhealthy babies sends the message that those who live with a medical condition are somehow less than or an unwanted burden.
All human beings, regardless of disease, illness, ailments, and deformities, have the right to life. They too are fearfully and wonderfully made. Their value is in no way decreased because of their disease or any subsequent pain and suffering that disease brings.
Inaccurately, Ganns piece focuses heavily on womens empowerment and the amount of influence a woman holds in her ability to make a choice to end or continue a pregnancy.

What Would Molech Advise?
Eugenics, embraced by liberals and Nazis. How far away are liberals from human experimentation as well?
Wow. I hope the poor child never sees the lawsuit filed by his mother that she didnt have adequate chances to kill him.... just wow
Have they had genetic testing as they can pass it on very likely. Daughter has friend with C.F.. both she and only sibling have it. Parents are Irish American. This kid looks great. Plays sports. Life expectancy has increased over the years.
Lovely isn’t it. The mom should just sterilize herself so she can’t pass it on.
Your child has a mother.
That author seems to have mislabeled the lawsuit as wrongful death. It is actually called wrongful life, believe it or not.
Thank God He chooses to send “handicapped” children into homes of people who fear Him and love life. God’s gifts of children should live and God places them in families that will love and care for them - not kill them. God blesses us and them in interesting and unusual ways.
Mom needs to abort herself to make sure her disgusting DNA will cease exist.
I agree. People with special needs not seen on prenatal tests are lucky to be born. All obgyns are very understanding if you wish to abort a child with any disability at all. Very, very sad. It isnt a contest to see who is healthier or closest to perfect.
We need to identify the liberal gene and abort it.
I find it interesting that those who scream the loudest against "survival of the fittest" when it comes to capitalism, are all for it when it comes to abortion.
And they say Adolf Hitler is dead.
The ideology that if you are judged not to be of superior genes and race and physical worthiness, that you may be killed in painful ways has never gone out of PC favor. These same people have conniptions if you point out this is eugenics and genetic cleansing - a cornerstone of Nazi philosophy and complete evil in God’s eyes.
It’s actually even WORSE than Hitler; there were Nazi doctors who had to be RESTRAINED by Hitler because they were TOO enthusiastic in their horrible experimentations.
