I suggest a mango salsa. You can find recipes. I normally start searching with AllRecipes.com

Wish I could block people on this forum.

Really? Can't take a little good natured ribbing?

And you could block me too for my hatred of knives.

AHA!....Zo you confessss!

From what I have read, the FISA warrants were sent to the court for their approval without any personal representation to the courts who did not question anyone about the warrants. It was strictly a paper exercise with the FISA court rubber- stamping the requests as they do 99.9% of the time.

And us silly peasants were told that our rights would be protected, that the FISA court would be strict to avoid gubmint unfair investigation of ordinary Americans.

Our local bar-b-que restaurant has a Blackberry sauce they spoon over grilled salmon that is to die for!

My method of cooking salmon is super easy. Sprinkle garlic salt and a little season-all salt on both sides of the filet and place in a pan to which a little olive oil has been added. Cook, uncovered, over bare medium heat for 5 minutes. Turn and cook until fish is lightly browned and flakes easily with a fork, about 5 minutes. Left-overs can be made into “Salmon in Dill Sauce” which is a wonderful pasta dish.

Sorry. thanks for the suggestion.

But the worst fruit on this planet, to me, is mango.

Somebody upthread sent me a link to a nice recipe for salmon, involving broiling in the oven and a miso type sauce.

I am going to try but....broiling....man that’s something I hate to do.

Yes I can do it.

We shall see.

My favorite salmon recipe is take a filet sprinkle it with lemon pepper and then cover with sliced lemons. Wrap in foil and cook for about 10 mins on a grill or until slightly red in the middle and serve with rice. An oven would be 400 for 15-20 mins.

This is the way I like to cook fresh fish, I think it is the best way. For other type of fish I add butter, onions and a touch of garlic.

I once had an employee from India.

He took a trip to return and when he came back he told me had a big surprise for me.

At lunch, he gave me a mango.

At that time, nor anytime since, had I ever tasted a mango.

But I was excited. I’m not afraid of new foods.

So I took a big bite of that mango and it was awful.

Awful, awful, awful.

Now understand here, you may quote me as hating mangoes, instead of knives.

My employee smiled as I chewed the awful stuff and tried to look happy and grateful.

I did manage to swallow and not vomit. I did not want to hurt his feelings. He meant well.

But know now that mango is evidently a taste you are born with.

which I was not.

Salmon cooking advice...do NOT overcook it...then you don’t need a sauce.

Allow me to throw in my 2 cents on salmon and potatoes. lol
It’s important to get fresh salmon and avoid the “farm raised” wannabes. Many stores that sell nice fresh salmon also offer cedar planks for barbecuing. Use these on your grill with genuine mesquite charcoal. No seasoning is needed as every bite will “break da mouth”.
Living on the slopes of Haleakala I plant my potatoes in rich volcanic soil. You simply cut of old russett’s, bury in the soil and in a few weeks you wind up with an amazing cross between a yukon gold an an Idaho russett. Hands down the tastiest tater in the world. In a row next to the potatoes you can grow sweet Kula, Maui onions. Slice these babies up, sprinkle some olive oil or melted butter on them and wrap in foil. Grill for about 5 minutes and flip the foil wrap over for another 5 minutes.
Ok..there you have it.

As a kid, we would catch them brook trout in the Appalachian mts.

You open them up, empty them, then you refill em with butter and wild onion, cook them in a pan on the fire and scramble some eggs

I have repeated this recipe in the Chiricahua and Hauchucua Mts

Now I am hungry :)

Senator Graham vows to get to the bottom of the story in the McCabe book.

I sure hope so.

And Graham vowed to subpoena McCabe and Rosenstein to appear before the senate committee.

Nice post.

Not sure about cedar planks and barbecuing but the potato info is intriguing.

rump plays the long game.. He put the Dems and Rinos out there where we all can see them for what they are. He will use this to further expose them on the run to 2020.

Here in Texas the Primaries are in March of 2020. This means that whoever is running needs to be out canvassing by July 4th and advertising no later then Nov. of this year.

Here in Houston we have local elections this Nov.

We already have Mayoral candidates out there talking to the local conservative talkers

As you probably know, FDR's dog, Fala, was buried alongside him with his own grave marker.

I love the Leninist propaganda that FDR receives. Nothing new under the sun

Mine own Senator Coons on Face the Nation....wants Mueller to complete investigation.

Coons says Graham is wrong to question the lying FBI, the FISA courts, etc.

Mueller is the King.

My question is why did McCabe spill it?

Someone is going to give him immunity.

WHO? the good guys or the bad guys? the white rats? or black rats?

I am an old spook, you think you know who has your back and then things get murky, then they get clear again, if you stay true, but the nature of the work is muddy
