As a kid, we would catch them brook trout in the Appalachian mts.
You open them up, empty them, then you refill em with butter and wild onion, cook them in a pan on the fire and scramble some eggs
I have repeated this recipe in the Chiricahua and Hauchucua Mts
Now I am hungry :)
First God gave us Beer, then the Irish gave us Whiskey, the Polish/Russians gave us good Vodka.
On top of that God gave us Brook Trout and Freshly caught Flounder.
There are other nice things as well but the above are a few of my favorite things.

Brookies are the best for breakfast. We used to wrap them in bacon and foil on the fire.
