Meredith Watson claims Fairfax raped her in 2000, when they were both students at Duke University.
A second woman has come forward accusing Virginia Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax of sexual assault. In a letter from her lawyer, Meredith Watson claims she was raped by Fairfax in 2000, when they were both students at Duke University. The letter characterizes the alleged attack as premeditated and aggressive. The two were friends but never dated or had any romantic relationship, the letter says.

Why have these women come out now? Serious question, welcome comments.
I'm glad I'm 72, married for 45 years and not hittin' the bars anymore, not that I did that much to start with.
Anyhow, it sucks to be young these days, I guess. I'd hate to be a teenager presently.
This country is unidentifiable now.
A common theme actually. The Duke (back in the news) lacrosse players were portrayed as rich, elite, entitled white guys during their persecution by Duke, city of Durham & most of country
By ‘ironies of life’ I meant:
“Things Which Come Back & Bite In Ass”
After the last 10 days, I'd be surprised to find intact skin on either cheek.Sadly the Dems/left have more staying power than the GOP ever did
My sense is both Northam and Fairfax will survive the political firestorm.
Northam going on an apology tour and Fairfax will get the due process which was denied to Kavanuaugh & so many others
Such is the world we live in :(
He always admired Bill Cosby, looked up to him as a role model, growing up. Eww..
So basically you are saying right wing news handed a diversion package to left wing media.
Regardless the whole thing started over Northam’s support of murdering children that have been birthed, but is now nowhere to be seen. Just as the left would have it.
Yes, it was Speck. I was absolutely horrified at the time as a young woman living in the city. I had also read Eldridge Cleever’s “Soul on Ice” in which he talked about raping white women if I remember correctly. My impression was that he had no emotion where the women were concerned and it was more about white men, so he did not go out of his way to seriously injure the women.
See more clarification in my Comment 186. Young boys are more likely molested or mistreated by women of their own race, and thus have more rage at women of their own race.
For me, I was warned if I accused my brother in law of attempted rape, I was 12, he said they’d make up lies about me. I fought him off. But I was afraid of him. He also molested my baby sister. If I had spoken up against him, she might have been spared. I was just so afraid of him. He was gangster

Not to be rude, not to be condescending, not to be judgemental... But I really wonder how many people are riding the wave of a guilty conscience, and unable reconcile that they were misguided during the sexual Revolution into thinking that unabashed casual sex was really an okay thing to do.
I think they were propagandized to the point where they made serious indiscretions based on a false and degrading narrative.
And now still unable to reconcile they’re stupid Behavior they blame the other person rather than both themselves and the other person.
