The maker of Budweiser is partnering with medical cannabis company Tilray in a $100 million deal to research cannabis-infused drinks for the Canadian market. The alliance announced Wednesday is the latest foray by a major beer company into the cannabis business in Canada, which legalized recreational marijuana in October. Anheuser-Busch InBev and Tilray Inc. said each would invest $50 million in the project to study non-alcoholic drinks containing cannabidiol, or CBD, which some claim has calming and healing affects, and THC, the cannabis compound known for its psychoactive effects.

As expected by everybody who has ever paid attention to how that company operates.

When you say Bud you’ve said it all.

Inevitable.

As is US National Legalization.

Gallup says over 60% of the general population supports legalization of recreational pot.

There are few politicians willing to oppose them, and those who do will be run over.

Bad idea Bud.

When you eat or drink it the psychoactive effect doesn’t hit you til later and too much is almost always Very unpleasant.

Got no problem with cannabidiol— a now (in a children’s seizure medication) clinically significant and approved medication component. NO THC— the “stoner”s high— at all. The CBD would come from Hemp (0% THC Hemp varietals).

THC in Budweiser? If so, NO freaking way. We already have enough drunk stoners... in Canada and elsewhere. The thing is— this “legalization” is perfect for a socialist state/monarchist state to control the populace with their “habit”. Just like the ancient Peruvian monarchs did with peasant labor worked to death on Coca leaves chewed with powdered alkaline shell dust to release the cocaine— and they were never hungry and starved to death all the while addicted and high. This is subject of many anthropology treatises.

Modern version is- if you can tax a thing you can control a thing. However, is the thing in line with human rights and freedom?

In other news, I heard a radio ad featuring John Boehner, former House Speaker, as a spokesman for a group providing business opportunities in marijuana.

Marijuana is well on its way to being legalized in most states, and I'm glad of it. It's far less harmful than alcohol - enough lives have been ruined on weed busts while Mexican crime lords have gotten rich.

Your brilliant congress ,in the Trillion dollar farm welfare bill, allows the growing of marijuana (”HEMP”). Have we lost our damned minds? Not since we started the government numbers racket (lotto), have we fallen to such depravity.

Governments *are* the mob. They run gambling, drugs, and protection rackets. The only thing they’re missing out in is running prostitution rings, but give them time.

My brother once found a girl attractive and took her out for lunch.

She told him on this luncheon that she had a boyfriend. Then bragged about how he liked to drink Budweiser and would take the caps from the bottles and push them into his soft ceiling tiles.

So far he had spelled out ‘Bud’.

My brother told her ‘maybe soon he’ll get wiser’. Lol!

The Brits fought two wars to force the Chinese to allow opium to be legally sold in China which led to around 40% of the population being addicted to opium.

Let's see, Vietnam, Afghanistan (aka - the Golden Triangle and the Golden Crescent) and the US is running down the "legalize everything" road.

I wonder if there's some kind of connection?
