Newt Gingrich: 'Odds are 2 out of 3' Nancy Pelosi will be speaker

Newt Gingrich said Thursday that Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has better odds of becoming speaker of the House than the GOP's front-runner Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.
During an event held by the Washington Post, Gingrich, himself a former speaker of the House, suggested that he thinks the Democrats will take the House.
"I think the odds are 2 out of 3 she'll be speaker," he said of Pelosi, who is House minority leader.
"And 1 out of 3 Kevin McCarthy will be," he continued.
Democrats need to flip two dozens seats in the House during the Nov. 6 midterm elections in order to take control of the lower chamber.
Should the Democrats win, Gingrich said he's very confident that Pelosi, who previously served as speaker from 2007 to 2011, will get the speaker's gavel back, citing her long career, connections, and fundraising prowess.
But Gingrich did acknowledge the possibility of a "blow-up."
Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, is weighing another challenge to Pelosi's leadership, and Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., said he would run for speaker if Pelosi does not.
At least 11 Democratic incumbents and dozens of candidates have said they oppose Pelosi for speaker, according to an NBC News tally.

You can always count on Newt to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

And then the next 2 years would be even more Democrat insurrection, lies and fake news.
Look at all the internal problems that have happened in this country since the coronation of the Lying Kenyan.
At all levels.

The liberal courts redrawing the Pennsylvania districts this year probably is responsible for a few lost seats.
