Police say a middle school English teacher in Georgia has been found dead of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound after being accused of sexually assaulting a sixth-grade boy.
News outlets report a Gwinnett County police release says 28-year-old Zachary Meadors was found dead in a vehicle Wednesday afternoon.
A Dekalb County police warrant says the Freedom Middle School teacher was accused of sexually abusing a 12-year-old male student, and was wanted on charges of child molestation, computer pornography and child exploitation. He was placed on unpaid leave and scheduled to meet with district officials Monday, but didn’t show up.
A missing persons report filed by Meadors’ parents says he left several letters at their home that apologized for the “chaos he caused” and directed how to handle his finances.
That’s just the way things were handled back in those days.
We were stationed in Japan. I had a schoolmate who was Nisei; his Mom was our Den Mother. It was new to me to meet people who looked Japanese but talked American. But we played baseball with Japanese kids & visited their schools.
I didn’t even know Japan was our enemy in WWII (this was in 1956) because Dad’s souvenirs & those of his colleagues were all German and a lot of the wives were German war brides. Much later I learned they were headed for the invasion of Japan before the atomic bombs were dropped.
Pearl Harbor...Arizona...Bataan...Iwo Jima...only learned of those after we returned stateside.
Suicide is substantially different than murder

So, since he killed a homosexual based on some sexual behavior issues, wasn't he his own "homophobe," committing a "hate crime?"
The anecdotal gradually becoming the norm.
How about seizing anything of value from this well-dead pervert and giving it to the VICTIM'S family?
My mom was a favorite Den mother. I think it was because of fresh homemade chocolate cookies. My friends never missed a Den meeting.
Maybe it was a Kavenaugh style accusation.
I wish my childhood molester had killed himself, instead I had to be repeatedly interviewed, then testify (so scared!!!) and live through the newspaper reports and neighborhood kids teasing me! It was he%# on top of he%#!!! He went to prison, don’t know how long but clearly remember my dad saying “not nearly long enough” and then next thing my parents, thankfully, moved me and my family 3,000 miles away! Where I still worried for years he would find me when he got out... It would have been so much easier for me, as a victim, if he had done the needful himself!
