Limbaugh predicts: GOP to hold House, expand majority in Senate

Bold: Talk radio legend Rush Limbaugh said Thursday that Democrats “deserve” to lose the 2018 midterms while going on to predict that the GOP would not only hold onto the House but also expand its Senate majority.

In an interview with Fox News‘ Sean Hannity, Limbaugh said he believes “there are things yet to happen” that will “determine the outcome for some reason we don’t know,” adding that made election results hard to predict.

That’s why democrats have gone full-radical against all conservatives and Trump. They fear losing or gaining the house by a tiny majority and losing more seats in the senate, and then, during a presidential year 2 years later, losing even bigger to republicans, where republicans should come bouncing back “bigly”, taking the house with big numbers and gaining even more seats in the senate. And then, bye-bye democratic party.

Anything we can do to punish the Dems for their Scorched America Policy since President Trump announced his candidacy nearly 3 years ago, is just fine with me.

Crush them to DUST!

I will be happy to hold the Senate, and think 53-47 is the most likely outcome, but IT SHOULD BE SO MUCH BETTER. The fact that we won’t get to 57 or 58 is a sad sign about the state of the nation, as is the fact that we could lose the House.

So many people here are Republicans, have Republican friends, have dressed up in elephant costumes (just kidding), know the name of their committeeman, etc, that they only see half the truth.

That half is: Normal Americans hate the Democrats.

The other half, the half the don’t see, is that the only thing normal Americans hate worse than Democrats is Republicans.

If the wall were up, if the illegals were mostly rounded up and in camps, if we were out of Afganistan,if the latest “convoy” were met by the 82nd Airborne and two Armored divisions deployed on a line Veracruz-Acapulco, if Christine Blasey Ford were in pretrial detention, if Affirmative action were banned by Executive Order, If the Treasury were reflating the economy with US Notes, if recognition of men pretending to be women as if they were actually women were banned - then the GOP would be looking at 450 seats in the House and 65 in the Senate.

But that’s not the case.

The Repubs will pick up between 6 an 12 House seats. There is no Blue Wave.

I’m trying to figure out the math because a 53 47 senate percentage should be reflected in the make up of the house and should we lose the house we should lose the senate...granted not all of the senate was up for re-election this years so perhaps that’s what makes the numbers look different.

Ohio ballot was mailed yesterday. I voted straight Republican and for non-partisan judges - I voted for each candidate that wasn’t endorsed by the Democrat party.

My house is 100% red this election!

The Senators are voted on statewide, the House Reps are District wide. It is conceiveable to have a State go for the Republican Senator, but individual congressional districts, depending how they are apportioned, be heavy dem districts. For example in Florida, there are liberal enclaves in certain areas that are heavily populated that have heavy Dem representation, but the state as a whole will probably elect Rick Scott (R) over incumbent Bill Nelson (D). It just depends on the makeup of the Congressional districts.

All I want to see November 7 is a tweet from PDJT saying that “We held the legislative. Elections have consequences. Stay tuned.”

Senate representation does not track the popular vote for the House because of the unequal sizes of the States.

It doesn’t matter how many Democrats vote in California, they still only get two Senators, just like Wyoming.

I ran some numbers last month. States with two (D) Senators have 80 million more people than States with two (R) Senators.

It’s a very good thing the Senate is not apportioned by population - and it’s surprising when the Republicans win the House.

None of this would matter if we got rid of the cancer that is the 17th amendment.

Only one time since FDR has a political party gained seats in the senate and lost seats in the House...

JFK, 1960, gained 2 in the Senate, lost 22 in the House

NEVER in that time has anyone gained senate seats and lost control of the House, and certainly not gained 4-6 Senators like the republicans are likely to do.

I’m going to say that by midnight EST, so many returns will be in that the networks will go back to regular programming out of depression. There won’t be a late night party on CNN going into Nov 7.

I’m with Rush. We will lose seats but not the majority in the House and pick up 3-5 Senate seats which leaves Collins and Murkowski powerless on the next SCOTUS confirmation.

If the GOP is winning big in Senate races, there will be no Blue Wave on the congressional level. The Democrats will fall short of their needed 23 seats.
