Senate panel schedules Friday morning vote for Kavanaugh
The Hill ^ | 25 Sep 2018 | JORDAIN CARNEY

The Senate Judiciary Committee has scheduled a Friday morning vote on Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court, according to a committee notice.

The vote on Kavanaugh is slated to come just one day after he is scheduled to testify in front of the panel on allegations of sexual misconduct.

One of the two women who has come forward to accuse Kavanaugh of misconduct, Christine Blasey Ford, is also scheduled to testify on Thursday.

“As a procedural matter, the Judiciary Committee today noticed a potential executive business meeting for Friday, September 28 at 9:30 a.m,” Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley's (R-Iowa) office said in the notice.

“Committee rules normally require executive business meetings to be noticed three days in advance, so an executive business meeting is being noticed tonight in the event that a majority of the members are prepared to hold one on Friday,” they added.

The vote was initially set for Monday but postponed after committee staff and lawyers for Ford got a deal on a public hearing.

I noticed Senator Grassley noted the threats against Judge Kavanaugh and his family in his letter to DiFi. He used it as justification for not granting the delay.

Whoever is responsible for those threats can take credit for hindering the delay of the hearing and vote.

Nice going guys! LOL

Like Judge Thomas.. Kavanaugh will have the rest of his life to reap vengeance upon the leftist morons who tried to ruin his reputation.

They have the votes, the Dems overplayed their hand!!! Last night when the Kavanaugh’s had to speak of their children I thought Brett was going to break out in tears when looking at his wife!!! Looking at her as if thinking it was all his fault he put his family through this!!! Just ALWAYS REMEMBER Justice Kavanaugh who these people REALLY ARE!!! NEVER FORGET!!! Congratulations on your confirmation!!!

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, the Senate’s Majority Whip, told Fox News earlier that a full vote of the Senate would likely come Tuesday of next week.

What is the over-under that this date/time will be altered as the date and time get closer?

Dems got some delays and will continue to try for more. How many more ‘victims’ will they find — with or without the help of photoshopped compromising pix of the Candidate?

For now. Well, if the Republicans in the full Senate bother putting any pressure on their peers to vote honestly, we’ll see the confirmation.

Otherwise, we’ll know that they continue, as do their more influential con$tituent$, to feel invincible and above the law. But many of us believe what’s been said about pride.

Will our nation soon be without rule of law as dictated by feminists? You decide.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), a member of the panel, added that Republicans are showing that "serious, credible allegations of sexual assault" won't stop them from confirming a judicial nominee.

Actually, a "serious, credible allegation of sexual assault" probably would stop them. There just haven't been any.
