She will show up, the Dems will demand that the hearing be suspended, then when Grassley rules that the hearing will proceed and just when she is to be sworn in all the Dems will walk out in protest. Since the committee rules require at least on member of the minority for a quorum the hearing will be cancelled. All of this is, of course, predicated on whether or not Ford had submitted he written testimony prior to the hearing, (two days prior if my memory is correct). I’m not sure if she will submit her written testimony since it is submitted under penalty of perjury, If she doesn’t she can not be allowed to testify.
Good is much more powerful than evil which follows the path of least resistance.

If Ford has submitted her written testimony no one has mentioned it yet. Would love to know because that would increase the odds of her showing up.
1. Seven Members of the Committee, actually present, shall constitute a quorum for the purpose of discussing business. Nine Members of the Committee, including at least two Members of the minority, shall constitute a quorum for the purpose of transacting business. No bill, matter, or nomination shall be ordered reported from the Committee, however, unless a
majority of the Committee is actually present at the time such action is taken and a majority of those present support the action taken.
2. For the purpose of taking down sworn testimony, a quorum of the Committee and each Subcommittee thereof, now or hereafter appointed, shall consist of one Senator.
IV. BRINGING A MATTER TO A VOTE
The Chairman shall entertain a non-debatable motion to bring a matter before the Committee to a vote. If there is objection to bring the matter to a vote without further debate, a roll call vote of the Committee shall be taken, and debate shall be terminated if the motion to bring the matter to a vote without further debate passes with eleven votes in the affirmative, one of which must be cast by the minority.

3) The vote of any committee to report a measure or matter shall require the concurrence of a majority of the members of the committee who are present.
Also: a member of the Minority would have to be there to call for a quorum LOL!

I haven’t had as much time as I’d like to dig the past few days and hadn’t heard anything at all. So I guess her whining about not being able to teach since her name was released, due to press showing up at her classroom, would be another lie to add to the list if she’s been in Delaware.
