ACCUSER’S ADVISER PREDICTED ‘STRATEGY’ THAT WOULD DEFEAT KAVANAUGH
Daily Caller ^ | September 21, 2018 | Amber Athey

Ricki Seidman, the Democratic operative who is advising Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser, predicted in July that there would be a “strategy” to defeat Kavanaugh’s nomination.

Seidman interview

Politico reported on Thursday that Seidman, who also advised Anita Hill to testify against Clarence Thomas in 1991, is giving advice to Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.

On July 10, Seidman said on a conference call with the American Constitution Society that she believed a “strategy will emerge” that would upend Kavanaugh’s nomination. Audio of the call was recorded and uploaded by the GOP on Thursday.

“I do think that over the coming days and weeks there will be a strategy that will emerge, and I think it’s possible that that strategy might ultimately defeat the nominee,” Seidman said. “And whether or not it ultimately defeats the nominee it will, I think, help people understand why it’s so important that they vote.”

Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein received a confidential letter from Dr. Ford describing her alleged sexual assault by Kavanaugh in July.

Seidman has a long history of working for Democrats, including serving in Bill Clinton’s campaign’s “war room” and serving as the deputy communications director in the Clinton administration.

As The Daily Caller reported on Thursday, “[Seidman] cut her teeth running attack ads against Robert Bork, a nomination that was eventually derailed. She then moved to Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy’s office, where she was instrumental in convincing Anita Hill to go public with her claim that Clarence Thomas sexually harassed her.”

Seidman talking about how there will be a strategy that will "emerge" and that it might defeat Kavanaugh is around the 3:25 mark of the video.

Any appointment made by the Senate, I insist that I have ultimate veto power, period. I’ll figure out why, send an op-ed to WaPo, and I demand to be heard! No peace, no appointments!

“And whether or not it ultimately defeats the nominee it will, I think, help people understand why it’s so important that they vote.”

Although it’s hard to believe, the Democrats seem to think their ridiculous antics this past month will rile up more of their base than it will our base.

I sure hope they are wrong about that...

She’s right about the importance of voting. If you’re a registered Republican and don’t vote in Nov., you might as well become a democrat.

I expect Grassley on Monday morning as soon as the vote is over to send a Referral for Criminal Prosecution to the DOJ for Everyone Involved in the Conspiracy to Defraud the Government

https://www.justice.gov/jm/criminal-resource-manual-923-18-usc-371-conspiracy-defraud-us

..”The statute is broad enough in its terms to include any conspiracy for the purpose of impairing, obstructing or defeating the lawful function of any department of government . “

.. To conspire to defraud the United States means primarily to cheat the Government out of property or money, but it also means to interfere with or obstruct one of its lawful governmental functions by deceit, craft or trickery, or at least by means that are dishonest. It is not necessary that the Government shall be subjected to property or pecuniary loss by the fraud, but only that its legitimate official action and purpose shall be defeated by misrepresentation, chicane or the overreaching of those charged with carrying out the governmental intention.

Thus, if the defendant and others have engaged in dishonest practices in connection with a program administered by an agency of the Government, it constitutes a fraud on the United States under Section 371

Yes. “Strategy” being DiFi’s “letter” that she conveniently will not share with the committee. How often is a crucial piece of evidence withheld by a committee member from the other committee members?

I think DiFi is completely senile, and a lot of this insanity is sympathetic colleagues trying to cover for her.

...where she was instrumental in convincing Anita Hill to go public with her claim that Clarence Thomas sexually harassed her.”...exactly what happened this time around - had a patsy who thought she would get away with dropping a charge against the candidate from the shadows - then she was outed by somebody - or maybe outed herself according to some at WaPo - and now has to face the music and testify - whether she'll be able bring it off is questionable...

This will happen at the cost of branding the Dems the party that cried wolf about a supposed darling issue. Why are they taking that bait?

Exactly. I watched every minute of the Thomas hearings and remember them well.

When Thomas threw away the script and told them that he would not address the allegations and that the hearing was just a “high tech lynching for uppity blacks” the camera turned on ole Committee chair Howell Heflin, a Dem good-ole-boy from Alabama.

He stammered - and looked like a deer caught in the headlights. Terrified.

Game. Set. Match. 11 Dems crossed over to vote for Thomas.

That can’t happen this time because the “Boll Weevil” Dems are long extinct. And have been replaced by Republicans.
