On CNN's New Day Saturday, right-leaning CNN contributor Ben Ferguson again demonstrated why he is one of the few bright spots on the otherwise liberal news network as he explained to apparently befuddled host Christi Paul why it is that many Americans are offended by the NFL kneeling campaign inspired by ex-player Colin Kaepernick.
During the segment in which the CNN host accepted the liberal spin that kneeling during the National Anthem had a "very valid" aim of drawing attention to "systemic racism and police brutality," at one point she seemed confused about why people perceive the protests negatively as she posed:
People complain, you know, if somebody marches in the street -- they complain if they rally. This protest is not about the flag. Why is it that people cannot seem to separate the focus of this protest about police brutality and African-Americans and how they are treated with patriotism?
Ferguson recalled for viewers that about the time Kaepernick began his kneeling campaign -- which started with him simply refusing to stand for the anthem -- Kaepernick was seen wearing anti-cop socks depicting police officers as pigs, and he also wore a pro-Fidel Castro t-shirt publicly.
In spite of reports that just over 25 percent of police shooting victims are black -- which is not disproportionate when crime patterns are taken into account -- Paul was unconvinced as she followed up: "Okay, so what could have been done differently to keep the very valid focus and argument of this whole protest in play? What could have happened differently?
“Very valid and focus of this protest”
Except that it is very NOT valid.
To those who hate the USA, We hate you back. How about get out now.
kneeling during the National Anthem had a “very valid” aim of drawing attention to “systemic racism and police brutality”
That really doesn’t exist in America anymore, as Martin Luther King explained it really just about having a lack of content in their character.
I other words they are “dumb as a stump thugs” who bring down the problems on themselves.
It’s now time to call them all out as “racial extortionists”.
Ditto.
If we start calling out racial extortionists it is going to upset a certain “reverend” who has no church or congregation and a certain self-loving MSNBC host who makes more money on extortion than salary.
If so: too bad!
Any day we will find he has converted to Islam.
His girlfriend is a Muslim and he probably has already done it.
How about they open up those pocketbooks and put their money where their mouth is? How about they go into places like Detroit or Chicago as a team and try mentoring kids with no fathers. Why dont they donate to apprentice projects. Why dont they go into troubled schools and tell the kids why its important to live a clean life
kneeling during the National Anthem had a “very valid” aim
Only to Marxists,Communists,Socialists,Hollywood and the Media, in other words only to American Hating DEMOCRATS.
.... The Post Modernists being churned and pumped out of our Schools, Colleges and Universities by the millions every year Do Not understand the concepts of Personal Responsibility, National Pride, Patriotism, and American Exceptionalism on the world stage ..... And thus are confused and do not understand the blowback against their Anti American Social Justice movements infesting our modern American society.
The argument is a sideshow. What the NFL jerks are sidestepping is that the NFL is a business. No business can survive if it insults its customers values.
What is this NFL people talk about?
People are offended because it’s an obvious fraud that we are being intimidated into taking seriously.
Kaepernick and the rest of his crowd don’t give a damn about black lives, they know it, we know it, and it’s straight-out offensive to demand we take these cynical false claims seriously.
It’s the same phenomenon that makes one want to extend a middle finger when a man in a dress demands that you acknowledge him to be a woman when he could not more obviously not be one.
“That really doesnt exist in America anymore, as Martin Luther King explained it really just about having a lack of content in their character.”
It is about victimization. Poor multi million dollar football player. Do you feel sorry for him?
Great picture
