Cardinal Burke: ‘Very Grave Problem of Homosexual Culture in the Church
Breitbart ^ | Nolte

Posted on 08/17/2018 8:40:24 AM PDT by wardaddy

Cardinal Raymond Burke has called for “open recognition” of the Catholic church’s homosexual culture in light of recent revelations of sexual abuse. “I believe that there needs to be an open recognition that we have a very grave problem of a homosexual culture in the Church,” Burke said in an interview Thursday, “especially among the clergy and the hierarchy, that needs to be addressed honestly and efficaciously.”

he former head of the church’s equivalent of the Supreme Court said it was already “clear after the studies following the 2002 sexual abuse crisis that most of the acts of abuse were in fact homosexual acts committed with adolescent young men.”

“There was a studied attempt to either overlook or to deny this,” he said, referring to the mainstream media cover-up of the homosexual nature of the abuse as well as such denial within the church itself.

...so Maxi wants to change the canon law to outlaw sodomy, as well as to allow sex with women.

And of course the homosexual mafia did the same in the DSM-III back in the 1970's regarding sodomy. Catholicism and Darwinism, faithfully screwing your morals piece by piece for thousands of years. those silly Babylonian priests running to Roma don't fool me.

A very small percentage is pedophilia. Almost all is in the the Seminary going back 70 years.

I guess that is the point.

IF the RC Church really has an issue with homosexuality and pedophilia (but I repeat myself), rather than the embarrassment it causes them, then why haven’t they come down on the miscreants with the full force of Church Authority?

So he and the rest of prelates are just coming out of their coma. For decades & decades this has gone on and even the laity had their heads in the sand. Yeah, “pray, pay & obey”, and keep your mouths shut. This is so sad that a once beautiful Church has gone down the tubes. Perhaps this is all coming true:

Satan went after the Church just as Pope Leo XIII foresaw in an October 13, 1884, vision and as the Blessed Mother warned at LaSalette, where, reputedly, she told Melanie Calvat, that “priests, ministers of my Son, the priests, by their wicked lives, by their irreverence and their impiety in the celebration of the holy mysteries, by their love of money, their love of honors and pleasures, have become cesspools of impurity.” Their intelligence, it said, would be “bedimmed.” Convents would become “the grazing grounds of Asmodeas and his like.” (Asmodeas is major demon of lust; re:Tobit3:17).

I often wonder if Benedict wasn’t forced out by blackmail from the Lavender Mafia and the people who wanted the Catholic Spring. Sometimes it doesn’t matter if what is said is true or not. Just that it is said.

The powers that ‘be’ in the Church of Rome, attempted for decades to minimize this evil, by claiming these priest are ‘only’ homosexuals because of the claimed age of their ‘victims’. They have written reams of words, to ignore that these devils, school young boys to become their ‘homosexual’ treats. There is so much rot, top to bottom of this Church of Rome it will take a cleansing by Christ Himself.

It is so twisted to present these ‘fathers’ as being equal in sin as their victims, calling it ‘homosexual’ acts.

Canon law deals with the problem just fine.

Canon law doesn't deal with anything, people in charge do, . . or don't. They haven't dealt with it in the past. They won't deal with it in the future.

Remember this scandal in Pennsylvania hasn't been fully revealed. City of Philadelphia's report hasn't been revealed yet.

The church doesn't have a problem with homosexuality and pedophilia. It's condoned and protected at the highest levels by their fellow homosexuals and pedophiles who have in the upper echelons. What they have is a public relations issue. That's all they care about. They want this swept under the rug and to go away so they can go back to molesting the children of those stupid enough to entrust their children to a priest. Since the church is unable/unwilling to fix this, we need laws that prohibit priests from ever being alone with a child.

I understand your sarcasm but this is an important ststement. The gay community has always denied this horror was a result of gay priests. They alwsys painted it as pedophilia, which occurs in gay and straight men. In fact the victims do not fall into the age range of pedophilia. They are early to late teens, making and secual encounter a homosexual one. I had talks with my pastor about this and he revealed to me and later to the parish at Mass that during his seminary studies in the 70s homosexual activity among seminarians was rampant. This is a secret the gay community wishes to hide, but gay men of early middle age seek sex with younger often much younger males. The Csrdinal has just touched the third rail of the gay community.

Most baptists call 9-11 on choir directors that molest kids, not tell it to the pastor who ships them off to another church. They are led away in handcuffs, not protected by the president of the SBC. That’s a fact.

I am not familiar with what you posted nor am I Catholic but a coworker of mine is Catholic and he is atheist and he was complaining that technically Birth Control is still against the teachings of the Church. (which they naturally ignore)

Its a grand irony that a church that frowns of married couples using birth control has had in the past so much of a problem with Church related child molestation.

Most or all of which is Man on Boy.

If the Catholic Church survives, it will need to drastically change the ordination process for clergy. If I had any say, anyone who wants to be a priest would have to agree to a 10 year probationary period in which they agreed to having their personal lives extensively monitored. If, after 10 years, they had a spotless record then they could become full fledged priests. To be given such a sacred trust you should have to earn it. Of course, those doing the monitoring would themselves have to be trustworthy, preferably laymen.

"It’s true, the problem isn’t with God its with the failing of his human servants. Corruption is a human malady as we see in the Federal Government.

I was born and raised Catholic, and despite the bizarre pronouncements of our current pope, my personal feeling is that capital punishment should be on the table for any crime in which the victim would have been justified in resisting with lethal force. This includes rape or aggravated sexual assault.

You're right that corruption is a human issue; indeed, I've used the following analogy with the Catholic Church before and will repeat it here.

Imagine a little town with one or two intersections and four-way stops at each. The local cops and city fathers are as corrupt as can be. They and their friends run the stop signs with impunity. People on their sh!t-list, or people from out of town are stopped and ticketed even if they come to complete stops and obey the traffic rules.

The maladministration and corruption do not in any way invalidate the idea of having stop signs at intersection. The concept, and ideal are good, positive and healthy. The grotesque abuse of power by those entrusted with it is the problem. The solution is not to get rid of the stop signs or the intersections, but to purge the corrupt individuals.

Is all this stuff coming out now SINCE 2002? Or new stuff from the bad old days. I have to think it’s still going on.

Must not be so easy for them though. Most people (and parishes) have rules about children never to be left alone with a priest.
