Ilhan Omar, a progressive state legislator, will win the Democratic primary in Minnesota's 5th Congressional District, CNN projects. Backed in her race by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Omar -- who came to the US more than two decades ago as a refugee -- would become the first Somali-American member of Congress if she wins the seat being left behind by Rep. Keith Ellison, who is running for state attorney general, in November. Omar is also on a path to arrive in Washington, DC, next year with Michigan Democratic House nominee Rashida Tlaib, who is running unopposed in the fall, to become the first Muslim women in Congress. Tlaib campaigned alongside Omar this past weekend, days ahead of the primary.

I was in Michigan a few weeks ago and amazed (sickened) by how many muslim names were on campaign signs. Fortunately the candidate for governor got smoked. The strident woman democrat candidate seems like just a warmed over Jennifer Granholm reboot. Granholm was a miserable failure but since liberals never learn from their mistakes, they’ll probably elect the woman rather than the far more qualified Republican.

I remember back in 2004 when a man ran for US Senator from Illinois. Blacks have been Senators before but this one was special because the news media played up the fact he was born in Kenya.
A few years later he ran for President. I said..”He can’t do that! He was born in Kenya!” This was before any Hawaiian birth certificate showed up.
I have been called a liar for this but I still remember reading of it back in 2004. Wish I remember what news magazine it was in.
It does seem like a district that was gerrymandered to benefit anti-American lunatics of color.

I used to live in the 5th CD of Minnesota. Accordingly, I have a number of friends who are politically plugged in, as they say, on the other side of the aisle.
They were appalled that Ilhan Omar even won the Democrat party’s endorsement earlier this year. Many of them wrote it off to the fact that the delegates making the endorsement selection were the hardcore far left activists. They called it “identity politics”.
Yes folks, here were dyed in the wool Democrats calling Omar’s selection as “identity politics”. They were concerned because Ilhan Omar’s total experience has consisted of two years as a state legislator. Nothing more, nothing less.
Many Democrats jumped on the candidacy of Margaret Anderson Kelliher (aka Large Marge) the fomer Speaker of the state House. Large Marge was a total liberal but she wasn’t a freak.
I have to admit that I was astonished by the margin that Ilhan Omar won. May out there (on both sides of the aisle) were expecting a closer race. Looking at the results, Omar did extraordinarily well in the Somali areas of Minneapolis but she also cleaned up elsewhere in the district.
So who do we blame this on? The Somalis? George Soros? Nope.
Omar won strongly on the votes of white liberals. She couldn’t have won the primary any other way than by appealing to guilt-ridden identity politics obsessed white liberals.
This is a very safe district for the Democrats. The general election is a mere formality now. Omar will have this seat as long as she wants it. as long as she wants it.

The Chicago Sun-Times called him the Kenyan born success story. Suddenly all those stories disappeared from the internets. Weird, right?
Very bad development. Given that half the public has its head up its anal exit passageway, it’s very possible that they will elect this.
Their first loyalty is to their ideology. They have no other loyalties.
