Well Timmy, that's easy to fix, just push more un-deletable U2 music down to your customers.

YES - dear God, every time I plug my iPhone into a device, some crappy recent U2 album automatically turns on. I’m guessing it contains subliminal messages Apple wants me to hear!

Huh?
Music has never been better, or more plentiful.
Movie and TV industry should learn from the success of Music.

And what, pray tell, does Tim Cook know about “humanity?”

Nice literary reference but really now, can humanity be drained out of music?

I couldnt make it through a workout without music, Cook says. I do it several days a week. Maybe Tim is afraid of being alone with his thoughts.
Music is nice during a colonoscopy, though.

Music is so poorly produced these days that you could randomly create a beat, and randomly generate lyrics, put a breathlessly orgasmic 12 year old sounding girl or boy as the computer generated singer, and it would be as much as hit as anything else.
You could play that crap at any “gym” and no one would know the difference.

That's what happens when you divorce music from the source - now it's just virtual digits floating about in the ether.
Put some vinyl Hendrix or Joni Mitchell on the turntable for crying-out-loud.

"I wasnt sure if Cook was talking about the way tracks are chosen for users, or the way music itself is created by songwriters and producers. Either way, hes right." Tracks aren't "chosen" for users. The user chooses what to listen to. All the software does is provide suggestions from what is available.
Likewise, use of computers in music composition only makes it possible for more people to express a talent for music composition, when they might not have the talent (or physical ability) to physically play an instrument. So, either way, he is WRONG!

I can barely listen to the radio these days. I live in the midwest rural area and we listen to country but even that has gone all to hell and fast.
You got faggots like Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt who sing about being emotional little bitches and pouting over some broad that left them. Pathetic.
These days I listen to classic rock. At least they PLAYED INSTRUMENTS

Okie, The U2 album was not "pushed down" to Apple user's devices, nor was it "undeteable," as you mischaracterize it. It was made available to Apple users IF THEY WANTED IT for free as a GIFT from Apple and U2 in the iTunes Store. Nice Try at making a FREE OFFER sound like an invasion of people's devices with a lie.

Apple CEO Tim Cook says he worries about Music choices losing the human touch when algorithms are being used to select music for listening. That's why Apple uses human curators for Apple's streaming services.PING!

Rap and for-money-only over-produced fake music drained the humanity decades ago.
The vitality, creativity and exuberance that was present from the late 50s to early 70s was incredible. Just listen to the Top 10 from each year and you’ll find so much variation and different styles. Not so true today.
