“His personality is likable, to many D’s.”

Maybe to masochistic Dems. He’s like that grouchy puppet, Walter, that Jeff Dunham has. They’re practically twins.

Notably, the proposed moderate agenda does not take issue with the party's broad consensus in favor of abortion baby killing rights, LGBT equality dominance, stricter gun control confiscation and support for immigrants illegal aliens and a path to citizenship for the undocumented illegals.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Made a couple of changes to properly reflect the true Dem positions. They'll lose/never gain a lot of folks on all of these issues.

They may think so until she costs them the house/senate.

By acknowledging they need an invitation only safe space to even have a discussion, they admit that their side has lost. Can you expect a mild-mannered soccer mom to stand up to a screaming guy in a mask and brandishing a bat? Because that’s what their convention will look like. The “moderates” will either stay home or leave abruptly. But, they won’t stay and fight it out. They are, after all, “moderates.” They have lost and their only hope is to go off and form a new party.

Lots of luck with a new “moderate” Democratic party. The totality of what we know as Democrats, and other parties who have also traditionally voted Democratic, is that they constitute only 40% of the total voting population. Any way you divide up 40%, neither of the pieces will have much electoral clout. (Pass the popcorn.)

I agree.

Trump won, because he was a guy who already had the public eye, and he has been sort of a populist pro-American globally on trade.

That was enough to defeat Hillary in the election.

But Trump is why we won. Trump.

The only reason. Trump is not going to be running in 2018.

Who is going to drive the Republican voters?

So the Communists went from being a fringe party to being a fringe part of the Democrat Party to taking over the Democrat Party, and conservatives are cheering this like it is a positive development?

“the DNC should have stopped him in 2015 from getting on primary ballots.”

The party has no control over who runs in a primary under their banner. If I recall, the former head of the KKK, David Duke, ran as a Republican. Republicans were not amused. The only control the party has is who gets to use the party machinery and financing. Thus, incumbent Diane Feinstein, who was one of the two primary winners in California, was not endorsed by the party. Instead the party threw its support behind a candidate who ran, also as a Democrat, but far to Feinstein’s left. (In California, the two top vote-getters in the primary go on to face each other in the general election.)

The fact that Hillary was able to sew up the party machinery before she became the candidate is unusual and, probably, criminal. The criminal part comes in where the state parties simply transferred something like $84M dollars to her, which the individuals contributing it could not give directly due to the law. So, the party was used as a shell to transfer illegal payments. This will probably never see a court as she’s a Clinton...silly rabbit.)

“Moderate Dems”?

Like Zell Miller or maybe Joe Lieberman?

Surely not Nancy Pelosi or Fschmuck Choomer.

Any politician that votes for and supports the murder of the unborn child and then the one who survives the first attempt to murder them in post-birth abortion is not a moderate in any sense of the word.

You are so right . Many people I talked to said Bernie was the only alternative to Hillary. They don’t understand socialism. It was just an uninformed alternative to Hillary.

“How many of Bernie’s socialist supporters have seen his tax returns and net worth? A great case study for cognitive dissonance.”

Once can make a similar claim about Trump saying that he represents the working class. Bottom line, it’s a waste of time to point that out - politicians are given leeway in that area unless they act like rich duffuses, like Romney. I suspect that many, if not most, Bernie supporters know he has bank, and many know his wife is simply a criminal, but does it matter to any of them? Of course not.

Absolutely. Even though they’re all as crazy as a basket of batshit sandwiches, a good number of them want to be quietly, secretly crazy, not to be seen screaming naked in the street with their hair on fire and pissing on the flag. This is exactly the schism I’ve predicted in the Democratic Party, and will paralyze them. Two half parties warring with each other over power can’t compete with one whole party with a coherent agenda (hint to the GOP to get and keep its act together...)

Sanders' wing of the party terrifies moderate Dems. Here's how they plan to stop it.

The same way they stopped it in 2016 - by rigging the primaries for their pre-chosen candidate Hillary.

I sure hope she convinces1 them to do it again.

1) To "Convince" in Clinton-speak means to bribe, threaten or Arkancide2 all necessary officials, judges, agencies, witnesses and politicians.

2) "Arkancide" is the actual cause of death referred to by a coroner's report as suicide when the deceased has bullet holes in the back of the head, drowns while in a three-piece suit, falls down a trash chute or out a multistory window, suffocates with a pillow over their face, is denied life-sustaining medication while in jail, or dies in a plane crash while also having a bullet hole in the head for good measure.

Drag the party back to the center, and the Leftist nutbags become de-motivated and sit home on the couch on Election Day.

Either way, it works for me.

I know many Bernie supporters realize he sold them out and are still angry, they were never going to vote for Hillary. Those that don’t realize he sold them out are the real dumb ones.

This says a lot about where the democrats are. They were fractured during their primaries and everyone now knows it was rigged for Hillary. I believe this was the spark that caused many to question the party and its integrity, leading to many people to #walkaway.

Democratic Socialism (whatever that is) had its shot and failed...now they’re trying to resurrect the Bernie movement with a 28 year old, which isn’t going to happen.
