“Children of foreign nationals inherit the nationality of their foreign national parent(s).”
You do realize that a lot of people don’t agree with that.
Obama actually spied on reporters.....threatening them with jail if they did not reveal sources. He set a record in refusing to release government information requested by citizens........
More examples of Obama autocracy......His administration set records for major, costly regulations that stymie business and reduce your freedoms even if some do some good. His Clean Power Plan would have dictated to states that they had to get rid of certain laws.
Due process died. Obama's education department told colleges and universities they must abandon due process for any male accused of sexual harassment. He granted legal status to illegal immigrants after saying some 20 times it would be unconstitutional to do so. He unilaterally rewrote laws. He refused to enforce others.
Obama also skipped the constitutional requirement of having the Senate vote on treaties, thereby making them mere executive orders that Trump could reverse, and fortunately has in the case of Iran.......an enriched Iran is still pursuing nuclear armament and Middle East hegemony.
The Obama philosophy was to ask for little, to get less and then to declare the United States a winner.
Obfuscation, lying and spying were Obama's fave tools.
That was no slip—he slowed down and savored his statement.
Thats my first thought too.
What’s done is done.
How do we prevent it from occurring again.
Congress needs to pass legislation setting up a process to vet candidates for office. And that legislation needs to specify a meaning for Natural Born.
States need to do the same. Just one state that had such a process and such a definition might have been able to stop that travesty from occurring. As that one state would have put a spotlight on the constitutional requirement.
Ive come to the conclusion that everyone on Capitol Hill knows that Obama Sr. Is not his father and thats why this gets a pass. They know this but cant mention it. We dont really know who his parents are even his mother.
Agree or not, it is true.
George P. Bush was born a Mexican national, just as Barack Obama was born a British subject.
“You do realize that a lot of people dont agree with that.”
And federal law and the SCOTUS.
Plausibly, he meant to say that his ancestry is Kenyan.
The US news media said he was “Born in Kenya” when he ran for the US Senate seat from Illinois.
He's still flipping the bird.
Why did he leave and why doesn’t he, at the very least, go back?
Because he a manipulative phony who can never show who he really is.
Also, he hates America more than he cares about Africa or Africans.
When is s 'slip' not a slip?
When it's an intentional taunt.
Dr. Freud! Dr. Sigmund Freud! Please pick up the half-white courtesy phone!
After he told the truth did they have to put him in the hospital for treatment?.
It’s not a “slip.” The truth is that his dad and relatives all come from Kenya. His heritage is Kenyan. He’s not “African American,” he’s Kenyan American. Or at least Kenyan.
> And that legislation needs to specify a meaning for Natural Born. <
Agreed. There is too much ambiguity in the phrase now. And it should be done as a constitutional amendment. (I know...according to the Federalist Papers, etc., etc. But none of that carries the force of law.)
The amendment can be just this simple: Natural Born shall mean born within the United States, of parents both of whom were born within the United States.
As an aside, I don’t think such a proposal would ever be accepted. It would be smeared as racist, or elitist, or some such thing.
He is trying to get attention. he must hate how Trump gets so much attention and directs the narrative. Even Loser Hillary gets more attention than he does. The MSM better pay him some attention or he may do something really difficult to cover up.
