While I disagree with Crowley on most things, he's very much an old-style Democrat and certainly not as bad as Ocasio-Cortez will be.
Lieberman knows a thing or two about situations like this one.

This is reminiscent of Lisa Murkowski in 2010. She lost her primary bid during the Tea Party uprising but decided to run as a write in and won. Here’s hoping the candidate from the center of the New Democrat base loses the same way to a normal leftist.
