The drug, which is legal for medical use in the majority of US states, is mainly prescribed to ease pain. But this new research conducted in Colorado - which was the first state to legalize - suggests that short-term pain relief could weaken the body's resilience to pain over time. The researchers, from the Swedish Medical Center, Colorado, analyzed around 260 people who were involved in minor vehicle accidents and admitted to trauma centers. Of these, 54 tested positive for recent marijuana use while 16 claimed they used the drug more or less every day.

Also sponsored by the prison industry.

Years ago one would buy a bag of weed on Haight Street from various street types. Today millennials sell you pre-rolled joints at the corner pot shop.

Other than high school the period of my life when I smoked the most pot was when I was a carpenter. My tolerance for pain was incredible in those days and there was a lot of it.

Have barely touched the stuff in the last 13 years and my pain tolerance nothing like it was back then.

Why don’t we let the person in pain decide what they want to take to relieve it? The government should have no say.

Agree. Trump is doing his part by getting fedgov out of intrastate marijuana regulation. Watch him throw mj prohibitionists under the bus in less than 17 seconds =>

"Why is anyone who smoked or possessed pot in prison?"

People are in prison for all kinds of crimes: murder, forcible sodomy, theft, fraud,... And it's common knowledge, that pretty near all of them smoked and possessed pot.

A felony isnt “auto” prison time. People keep lying about simple possession resulting in prison time. Its a lie.

It is if you don’t have the money for a lawyer.

Why should someone have a felony on their record for possessing pot?

Why?

‘Splain that to me.

Drug use and crime literally go hand in hand. People who are ignorant of this fact have a hard time believing it. Addicts have an even harder time believing it.

But hey; is there anything more Conservative than recreational drug use? I mean, am I right? Advocation of getting high for no reason is practically Reaganesque round here lately.

There have been many, many babies born who have in their system a substance called linalool, which is present in cannabis.

It sounds like a bad thing, except that linalool is also present in lavender.

BAN LAVENDER. DO IT FOR THE CHILDREN.
