That logical fallacy is called “post hoc ergo propter hoc.”
I do not even know how to respond to the stupidity you just posted.
WTF.
Drug use and crime literally go hand in hand. People who are ignorant of this fact have a hard time believing it. Addicts have an even harder time believing it.
But hey; is there anything more Conservative than recreational drug use? I mean, am I right? Advocation of getting high for no reason is practically Reaganesque round here lately.
“People are in prison for all kinds of crimes: murder, forcible sodomy, theft, fraud,... And it’s common knowledge, that pretty near all of them smoked and possessed pot.”
You can’t talk about violent crime without mentioning race. I will use murder statistics as an indicator. The murder rate in the US in 2016 was 5.3/100K. Considering blacks account for about half of murders in the US, it means that whites commit murders at a very low rate.
Blacks and whites use mj at approximately the same rate according to most reports I’ve seen. If mj is a causative factor in crime, why does it only seem to affect blacks?
Despite a massive easing of mj laws in the last 20 years, murder rates fell and remains low in the white population.
