The problem is that DFCI has a building called the Yawkey Center thanks to the fact that the Yawkey family gave millions to DFCI.
I'm looking forward to seeing how DFCI removes those huge letters from the front of that building.

Yawkey also had his and his wife’s initials painted on the left field scoreboard...in Morse Code.

No, club president Sam Kennedy told the mid day crew on WEEI today that it was about being welcoming to all people. Yawkey Way is at the entrance to Fenway. They also assume people are to stupid to know that the Morse code is supposed to be in reference to the Yawkeys.
They also previously removed a plaque honoring Tom Yawkey.
Jersey Street is named for the Earl of Jersey whose family earned its money from the slave trade business. Most of the streets of Boston were named for people who profited from slave trading.
The morse code is still there.
So when do we stop honoring Washington, Jefferson, et al? I mean, they owned slaves. Shouldn’t we strike their names from all streets, buildings, etc.?

The Boston Red Sox, under John Henry, Tom Werner, et al, have been New England’s largest corporate contributor to the DNC since about 2002. In 2004, they paraded John Kerry around like he was the second coming. Remember when they silenced Curt Schilling??? I lost my love for that team when they became political operatives.
Or Chappaquiddick when traveling through New England.

I have been to many liberal cities having lived a long time in Philadelphia. (Is there such a thing as a Conservative City). My experience is that liberal cities are more racist, divisive, segregated AND SELF-segregated and polarized. Those of “white” complexion are most definitely minorities but “minority” by the liberal language book will always proclaim minority as the protected class.
Yawkey ran the Red Sox for 43 years and this is how he gets treated. The Yawkey family owned them lots longer from what I know. Over the years how many people have said to friends — “Meet you on Yawkey Way before the game”?
No respect for tradition or (what I did not previously know) the Yawkey family’s immense generosity to local charities.
I’ll bet only 5% of Red Sox fans wanted Yawkey Way changed due to Tom Yawkey allegedly being racist
His younger wife is amazing looking and she seems to manage the Boston Globe. It’s her plaything.
