The participation rate will logically lag behind unemployment given the horrific numbers we have seen for a decade. As more jobs become available with higher wages it will begin moving in a positive direction.
The economic performance of this administration has been nothing short of AMAZING.

What makes this even more important was the full scale draft for the Nam war that was going on in the late 1960’s.
Thousands of able bodied guys volunteered each month for the Navy or Air Force and National Guard to avoid the draft and going to Nam. They did that to avoid the draft before their numbers came up.
That took people out of the job market big time and decreased the % of so called unemployed to very low levels.
