Donald Trump, the US president, has warned Russias Vladimir Putin that there would be a big price to pay for a suspected Syrian chemical weapons attack that killed 70 people, including children.
In his harshest criticism of the Russian leader since taking office, Mr Trump said Mr Putin was partly responsible for the attack on rebels in Douma, a town in Eastern Ghouta. The US president also criticised Barack Obamas failure to police a red line over chemical weapons, while a senior White House official said no form of response was off the table.
The comments raise the possibility of a US airstrike against Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian dictator. Mr Trump approved a strike a year ago after a similar chemical attack.

Every time I see one of these Chemical weapons attacks I always wonder why someone would use chemical weapons to kill a few people and then bring the wrath of bombs and international fury upon themselves.
The answer I always get is that the Chemical attack comes from a 3rd party. It is a setup. A predetermined action with a predetermined result. And it seems that McCain and the deep state really do not want the US out of Syria. The Timing of this is very suspicious.
Syrian regime change will not make America great again.
To me it seems strange that just a few days after Trump said the US is leaving Syria, the media and propaganda organizations are again milking our outrage of a “chemical weapons attack.”
“The answer I always get is that the Chemical attack comes from a 3rd party. It is a setup. “
Yep. That makes logical sense. What doesn’t make any sense is why Trump is threatening Putin over this attack.
I don’t believe the Syrians did it. I don’t believe it actually happened. I smell a wag-the-dog.
Wait I thought it was Assad, now it’s Putin? Rabbit hole time.
Unless, the outcome really isnt that heavy, like an allied military airport blown up and repaired. But the end result of growing defenders like you against their own nations leadership is a huge long term gain.
Ever think of that?
We haven’t had a president since Reagan to resist the Deep State Neocon/Military-Industry Complex.
But I had hope for Trump on it. Is the stupid Russia, Russia, Russia crap what is making him sound like he’s giving in?
Let’s just hope he doesn’t give in in actuality.
Nobody wants to point out that the rebels there are Jaish al-Islam, an islamic state group. I don’t know who supports them, al-Qaeda, Turks, or Iran, but they are quite suspicious as a victim group.
Pray that Trump stands up to McCrazy and his ilk. The latest is a transparent false flag. Obvious
Drain the Swamp
I believe there have been some reports of gas attacks in past years that turned out to false. We should be certain before taking action. This “may have been” just doesn’t cut it in my book.
Terriffic, let's go all in!
McCain hates Trump like no other!
The neocons put another flaming bag on dog poop on Trump’s porch. This is such an obvious false flag that it’s kind of insulting to our intelligence.
At least they had the common decency to make the USS Maine and Gulf of Tonkin seem possible at the time.
I really quit putting off getting some of that SPF five million sunscreen.
And if the source is a CIA deep state operation that might still be the right response...but wait until congess is in session.

Our “nation’s leaders” are the American people. We didn’t hire Trump to do regime change in Syria, ever think of that?
We aren’t idiot Europeans who are expected to support the leader when they are screwing up.
The two faced Europeans successfully toppled Gaddafi.
